Nurses, caregivers seeking work in Japan, deadline is extended

The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines has announced on its website that the application period for Filipino nurses and caregivers wishing to work in Japan has been extended. Here are the requirements.

Extended ang application period para sa mga nurses at caregivers na nais magtrabaho sa Japan.

Ang announcement ay inilabas ng Embassy of Japan in the Philippines sa website nito kamakailan:

“The recruitment is extended for the forthcoming batch of candidates for nurse and certified careworker under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA).

“The extended deadline for submission of online applications is on April 25, 2025."

Nangangailangan ng 50 nurses (Kangoshi in Japanese) at 300 caregivers (Kaigofukushishi in Japanese).

Ang job recruitment ay naging posible dahil sa pakikipagtulungan ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) sa Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS).

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Nakasaad din sa Japan Embassy website ang mga requirements:

Para sa mga nurses:

  1. Kailangan ay graduate ng Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at lisensiyado.
  2. Kailangan ay may minimum na three (3) years of hospital/clinic/health center work experience.

Para naman sa caregivers:

  1. Kailangan ay graduate ng BSN at lisensiyado.
  2. O di kaya ay graduate ng anumang four-year course na may National Certificate Level II on caregiving mula sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Libreng Japanese language training—anim na buwan sa Pilipinas at anim na buwan sa Japan—ang ibibigay sa mga matatanggap.

May daily living allowance din sa loob ng one-year training.

Prerequisite ito para sa kanilang three to four years na work term sa mga ospital at caregiving facilities sa Japan.

Hinihimok din ang mga applicants na kumuha ng Japanese license para sa Kangoshi at Kaigofukushishi kung may planong makapagtrabaho nang mas matagal sa Japan.
