UPeepz, an internationally decorated Filipino dance crew, will once again dance its way to the international stage.
The crew will raise the Philippine flag and will try to secure a world championship title that the team has already held three times.
UPeepz, which has brought honor to the country in international dance competitions, is gearing up for the 2025 World Hip Hop Dance Championship (WHHDC) to be held in Arizona, USA, from July to August 2025.
Five teams of UPeepz will join different categories of WHHDC.
As the competition is fast approaching, UPeepz has recently launched its campaign, Road to World Championship 2025, which consists of events for fundraising.
The funds to be raised will help the crew with their travel and logistics.
The crew hopes to make the country proud once more in this year’s WHHDC.

UPEEPZ'S ACCOLADES
In August 2024, UPeepz stood out from 42 world-class dance crews and claimed the gold medal in the MegaCrew Division of WHHDC in Phoenix, Arizona.
That was the third time that they won that prestigious title. The first was in 2016, and they repeated their glory in 2017.
That feat tied UPeepz with a foreign dance crew—The Royal Family of New Zealand— which has the most gold medals in the same WHHDC category.
MegaCrew Division is for squads made up of 10 to 40 crew members with no age limit.
In that same championship edition, UPeepz’s sub-team, The Peepz, bagged the Silver medal in the Adult Division.

This August 2025, apart from UPeepz and The Peepz, their fellow sub-team crews will also compete in WHHDC.
They are VPeepz, competing in the Junior-Varsity MegaCrew Division; LilPeepz in the Junior Division, and for the first time, The Peepz will make their debut in the MiniCrew Division.
UPEEPZ FUNDRAISING EVENTS
UPeepz has already started with their fundraising drive.
They recently held a concert titled Hupeep X: HOME, which took place at the UP Theater last June 14.
It was the dance crew's 10th edition of their annual fundraising concert, and was both a celebration of legacy and a powerful send-off for the teams heading to the world stage.
Their next event is Spotlight, happening on July 12, 2025, at Teatrino Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila.

Formerly known as Peep Show, Spotlight is a choreography showcase that continues to champion creative freedom and provide emerging choreographers with a platform to share their work.
In addition to the concert and showcase, UPeepz will also host dance workshops and film screenings, creating more opportunities for the community to engage with and support the team.
the first and only Filipino Dance team
Founded in 2011, UPeepz, is impressively the first and only Filipino team to win back-to-back gold medals in the MegaCrew Division at WHHDC.
For this, the group has been recognized even by the government.
“Recognizing our contributions to Filipino dance and culture, we’ve been honored with the Senate Resolution of Excellence and named Ani ng Dangal Awardees by the NCCA in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2024,” said UPeepz in its PR material sent via email.
Besides the WHHDC, UPeepz is also the first and only Filipino team to have brought two teams to the 2019 and 2020 NBC World of Dance in Hollywood, which aired on American television, featuring celebrity judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough.
