May ibinibigay na scholarship para sa mga estudyante, guro, at researchers sa Quezon City.
Useful ito sa mga nagnanais kumuha ng kurso sa Filipino language, literature, linguistics, translation, at related disciplines.
Ang proyekto ay tinawag na Manuel L. Quezon Filipino and Literature Scholarship Program, na inilunsad ng QC local government unit sa website at social media accounts nito noong January 22, 2026.
Sa ilalim ng Ordinance No. SP-3458, S-2025, pagtitibayin nito ang commitment ng siyudad sa accessible education, cultural development, at promotion ng pambansang wika.
Covered ng scholarship ang mga sumusunod: Scholarship for Tertiary Students, Scholarship for Postgraduate Students, at Creative Writing and Literary Grants.
“The scholarship program aims to promote academic excellence in Filipino studies, encourage creative and literary production, support scholarly research, strengthen national identity, and expand opportunities for marginalized and underrepresented communities,” parte ng pahayag.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
Ang amount ng scholarship ay depende sa kursong kukunin.
Sa Scholarship for Tertiary Students, ang mga matatanggap na applicants na mag-e-enroll para sa Filipino Language, Filipino Literature, Journalism, Philippine Studies, o Education programs na may Filipino major ay makakatanggap ng hanggang PHP160,000 per academic year kung sila ay sa private institutions, o kaya ay PHP50,000 annual stipend kapag sa public institutions.
Ang Scholarship for Postgraduate Students ay sumusuporta naman sa mga mapipiling nag-aaral ng Filipino Language, Philippine Studies, Philippine Literature, Comparative Literature, o Linguistics na focused sa Filipino.
Ang successful applicants ay makakatanggap ng hanggang PHP105,000 per school year, pero required na mag-submit ng research proposal na aligned sa promotion ng Filipino language at literature.
Nag-o-offer din ng Creative Writing and Literary Grant para tulungan ang mga baguhang manunulat at established authors sa pag-produce ng original works sa wikang Pilipino, “including but not limited to poetry, fiction, essays, and drama."
Ang recipients ay maaaring makatanggap ng PHP10,000 na stipend support at ng hanggang PHP30,000 na publication assistance o kabuuang grant na PHP40,000.
Binigyang-diin naman ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte ang kahalagahan ng Filipino language and culture.
“Quezon City is the home of the nation’s capital heritage and the legacy of President Manuel L. Quezon, the Father of Filipino Language (Ama ng Wikang Pambansa),” ayon sa alkalde.
“By institutionalizing this scholarship program, we are investing not only in our students, but also in our identity as a people.
“This initiative ensures that Filipino language and literature continue to thrive in our schools, our communities, and future generations.”
