JERRY OLEA: “These are exciting times for cinema!” sabi ni Charo Santos noong nakaraang Marso 2 sa mediacon ng pelikulang Eerie na ginanap sa Trinoma, Q.C.

Agree ba rito si Direk Laurice Guillen?

“Yes, I believe that!” mabilis sa tugon ni Direk Laurice nang mainterbyu namin sa mediacon ng pelikula niyang Man and Wife nitong nakaraang Huwebes, Abril 25, sa Racks, Timog Ave., Q.C.

“Iyong pelikula kasi, may technology, may business, and may art.

“So, lahat ng aspetong iyon, kailangang i-consider mo para gumanda yung industriya natin.

“It’s exciting in the sense that there’s now the possibility of going international.

“It’s not just going to a film festival or being screened in a theater abroad. It’s not just that.

“It’s because the platform itself, it transcends. It’s terrestrial.

“Since ganoon ngayon ang takbo ng technology, this is what’s possible, hahabol tayo ngayon sa content.

“That is OK for, let’s say, our audience right now.

“But every film that is made, I think eventually—because of this new technology—will have its own market audience.

“So, it’s up to the business now to capitalize on that. Make money for these people.”

Siya nga pala, pagpupugayan sina Ma’am Charo, Direk Laurice at Direk Marilou Diaz-Abaya (posthumous) sa 67th FAMAS Gabi ng Parangal ngayong Abril 28, Linggo, sa Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City.

NOEL FERRER: While it is exciting, realistically too, it’s time to retreat for the movie Sons of Nanay Sabel.

Hahahaha!”

Magkakasabay na sa May 8 playdate ang Sons of Nanay Sabel, Man and Wife (nina Gabby Concepcion at Jodi Sta. Maria), at Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon.
