But an unforseen thing happened—napaos si Juris Fernandez.
It happens to the best of them.
But in the end, in a packed crowd that had former ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio and her family beaming with pride for her son Francis’s first musical direction ever with the Metro Music Orchestra, Juris sang her heart out.
Even if she was losing her voice, people felt her, loved her, and applauded for her until the end.
Sabi ng manager ni Juris na si Carla Concio, “Nine months of planning to create a wonderful show. But something happened that was way beyond our control.
“An hour before the concert, Juris told me her voice wasn't well. People told me that we should've cut it short.
“Yes! We could've done it! But the Juris I know will fight until the very end.
“She may look fragile but she's a tough lady. She may cry buckets of tears but she won't easily give up.
“She thought of the people who came to watch the show, the musicians who worked so hard.
“She thought of Francis, that it was his first concert, her family who are always rooting for her. And everyone who were with us in this journey.
“Last Saturday, she opened her heart to everyone. It wasn't perfect. But it was beautiful! We’ll always be proud of you, Juris.”
As the song goes, "I make no apologies. This is me!"
Sabi ni Concert King Martin Nievera, who lent Juris his support, “You cannot do anything that these people here won’t like. We all love you!!!”
May narinig ba kayong nega comment about the concert last Saturday? Wala!
Dumalo rito sina Dingdong Dantes, Paolo Contis, Glaiza de Castro, Cherie Gil, Tony Labrusca, Ricky Davao, Tirso Cruz III, Tony Mabesa, Direk Joel Lamangan, FDCP Chair Liza Diño, Ken Ken Nuyad, Direk Dakip “Kip Oebanda,” at iba pa.
