Mindanao, ligwak sa shortlist ng Best International Feature Film sa Oscars

Mindanao, a film by Brillante Mendoza and starring Judy Ann Santos and Allen Dizon, is the Philippine's entry the Best International Feature Film category to the 93rd Academy Awards. Unfortunately, the film did not make it to the shortlist.

Hindi nakasama ang pelikulang Mindanao sa labinlimang (15) banyagang pelikula na na-shortlist para sa kategoryang Best INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM ng 93rd Academy Awards.

Ang Mindanao ay pinagbidahan nina Judy Ann Santos at Allen Dizon, sa direksiyon ni Brillante Mendoza.

Siyamnapu’t pitong (97) bansa ang nagsumite, at siyamnapu’t tatlo (93) ang tinanggap ng Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

Inihayag ng AMPAS nitong Pebrero 9, Martes, ang labinlimang (15) na-shortlist na international feature.

Ini-announce na rin ng AMPAS ang mga pelikulang na-shortlist sa walong iba pang kategorya ng Oscars 2021 — Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, and Visual Effects.

Ang nominasyon ay mag-uumpisa sa Marso 5, 2021, Biyernes, at magtatapos sa Marso 10.

Ang mga nominado sa 93rd Academy Awards ay ia-announce sa Marso 15.

Ang 93rd Oscars ay gaganapin sa Abril 25, Linggo, at ite-televise sa ABC at sa mahigit 225 bansa at teritoryo.
