Ayaw sagutin ni Jeremy Marquez ang pangungulit ko sa kanya kung totoong nag-propose na kay Winwyn Marquez ang kanyang partner.
Mas mabuting si Winwyn daw ang tanungin, at nandiyan lang daw sila para sumuporta sa kung ano ang kanilang plano.
“I’m sure napapag-usapan na iyan. I feel that I cannot disclose anything. I think she has announcement. I don’t know.
“Kung ano man yun, I’m sure good days are ahead of them, and our whole family will support them,” pakli ni Jeremy nang sandali naming nakatsikahan nung Biyernes, March 25, sa Appreciation Dinner ng Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 na ginanap sa Novotel Hotel, Araneta City, Q.C.
Ang daddy raw nila na si Joey Marquez ang pinaka-excited sa pagkakaroon ng baby ni Winwyn.
“Ang daddy ko, matagal na niyang pinu-push na si Winwyn is not getting any younger. Gusto namin na meron din siyang family.
“So, when she broke the news to us, we’re very happy. We’re excited na lalabas na rin soon,” napapangiting pahayag ng bagong Optical Media Board (OMB) Chairman.
Samantala, challenging para kay Jeremy ang pagiging OMB Chairman lalo na’t madaling mapirata ang nasa online at streaming app. Ito raw ang tinatrabaho nila ngayon.
“Since bago lang ako sa OMB, our first step right now is basically trying to find out where the industry and the stakeholders are.
“In terms of enforcement ng mga piracy, I would say it’s difficult dahil it’s not just the physical medium now, yung mga DVDs, even yung mga hard drive.
“Ang problema kasi natin ngayon, medyo hindi pa masyadong direct yung batas natin that regulates ng mga online, ng mga streaming.
“So, very vague pa, ano… but we’re working with different agencies that really tackle on how we can at least deter, or at least how we can approach it,” saad ni Jeremy Marquez.

Ang ganda-ganda ni Winwyn sa photo shoot bilang expectant mother.
Sabi ni OMB Chair Jeremy, very happy sila para kay Winwyn.
“Siyempre, anytime that you’re expecting a baby, lalo na for the very first time, it’s a moment in your life that you take advantage of, capturing these moments,” pahayag ni Chair Jeremy.
“We’re happy that she’s healthy. We’re happy that she knows exactly what she does.
“And knowing Winwyn, she’s a very strong personality, ‘no? And she’s very smart. She knows exactly what to do.
“So, kumbaga, we have no worries in terms of her. Actually, kung mag-asawa nga iyan, matatakot pa kami para sa asawa. Baka i-ander niya.
“So, I’m just excited, we’re all excited, and we’re waiting for her baby to come out.
“I’m sure her plans, we’ll all know soon. We’re happy and yun nga, she takes good care of herself.”
Bilang half-brother ni Winwyn, ano ang maipapayo niya rito?
“Well, in terms of having a child, mother knows best,” matamang sambit ni Chair Jeremy.
“Alam na niya lahat ng mga dapat niyang gawin, and she’s doing it all. I just assure her that it won’t be easy.
“And when it does get hard, it gets tough… you know, whether it’s emotionally, spiritually, financially, whatever it is that stresses life… nandiyan po kami.
“Not just me, the whole family. We’ll help her. Kung gusto niyang iwan ang anak niya, sabi nga ng tatay ko, sa kanya na lang ibigay.
“And if he’s busy, my dad has lots of kids that love each other. So, nandiyan kami para sa ‘yo, Winwyn.
“Just take it day by day. Enjoy it. It’s not every day that you conceive a child. Not every day na you take care of a baby.
“I have children myself, ‘no? And I miss those days na buhat-buhat ko sila. Enjoy your time.”
NOEL FERRER
Jeremy is the Chairman of the Optical Media Board (OMB) na isa sa mga beneficiaries ng MMFF.
Kasama rin siya sa MMFF Execom na nag-decide ng mga deadlines para sa submission ng entries this year.
Palagi siyang kinakantiyawan, kasi siya ang favorite ng mga Titas ng Execom, lalo na ng mga taga-cinema.
Sayang, ‘no, at hindi nanamnam ni Jeremy nang lubos ang kanyang pagka-artista. Pero at least, ang pinaglilingkuran niya ay ang sektor na nagtaguyod sa kanyang pamilya.
