Magkakalahating taon nang balik-Kapuso si Boy Abunda.
Enero 23, 2023 nag-pilot sa GMA-7 ang kanyang Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.
“Ang bilis!” bulalas ni Tito Boy sa mediacon ng Battle of the Judges noong Hulyo 9, 2023, Linggo, sa Studio 6 ng GMA Network, Quezon City.
Mas OK ba sa kanyang maging isa sa apat na hurado ng talent competition na Battle of the Judges, kesa mag-host nito?
“Masyado ka naman. I can be a judge anywhere. Pero nag-enjoy ako dito! Nag-e-enjoy ako dito,” pagngiti ni Tito Boy.

Naging hurado ang King of Talk sa Star Circle Quest (2004-2005) at Your Moment (2019-2020). Sinubukan na ba niyang maging noontime host?
Natawa si Tito Boy, “Hindi. Ha! Ha! Ha! Hindi! I’ve been doing talk shows for a long time now.”
Late gumising si Tito Boy, kaya raw siguro wala sa hinagap niyang maging host ng live noontime program.
“Late talaga akong gumising. It didn’t occur to me that I would be in a noontime show,” pagtatapat ni Tito Boy.
“Maybe because masaya ako sa noontime show landscape. Audience ako. Fan ako ng noontime shows.”
Sinasabing ang mitsa ng "Battle of Noontime Shows" ay sumiklab sa April 19, 2023 guesting ni Mayor Bullet Jalosjos sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.
Ano ang masasabi niya sa competition ng revamped Eat Bulaga!, It’s Showtime, at E.A.T.?
“Competition will bring us to better things,” dahan-dahang pagmamatuwid ni Tito Boy.
“Competition can fuel excellence. Totoo yun, kasi you’re in your toes, e. Hindi ka puwedeng magpabaya, hindi ka puwedeng hindi magaling.
“Hindi talaga puwedeng hindi.”
Ang tatlo pang hurado ng Battle of the Judges ay sina Bea Alonzo, Annette Gozon-Valdes, at Jose Manalo.

Sa pagbabago ng TV landscape, nakaapekto ba sa Battle of the Judges na nasa TV5 noontime show na si Jose?
“I don’t know, I don’t know. Pero ako, I’m so glad that I worked with him here,” pagtatapat ni Tito Boy.
“Ang dami niyang insights! Alam mo yun, yung hindi pinapahirapan ang mga bagay-bagay.
“Hindi nag-o-overthink pero tama ang timpla. Kilala niya ang audience. Galing!”
Nakatulong kay Jose iyong experiences nito sa Eat Bulaga!.
“Oo naman. To be very fair, lahat naman kami, andami-daming mga experiences,” saad ni Tito Boy.
“But Jose uses a very peculiar, a very special lens. Iba, e.”
Ang pilot episode ng Battle of the Judges ay sa Hulyo 15, Sabado ng 7:15 p.m. sa GMA 7. Ang host ng talent competition na ito ay si Alden Richards.

Sang-ayon ba siyang panalo ang televiewers sa "Battle of Noontime Shows"?
“Panalo, kasi may mga choices sila,” mabilis na tugon ni Tito Boy.
“At saka hindi puwede na yung principal actors of the noontime shows ay magpahinga.
“They really have to keep on discovering, inventing, doing new stuff dahil marami nang choices ang audience.”
Naapektuhan ba siya o ang sinuman sa mga talent niya sa pasiklaban ng noontime shows?
“Hindi naman. In what way? Hindi naman.”
Iyong iba kasi, parang nagkakampi-kampihan.
“Sa umpisa, may initial reactions. Ako, naniniwala ako, tayo dito sa entertainment industry… eventually we’ll settle down.”
Hindi maiwasan na may personalan pa sa ngayon…
“Natural palagay ko yung mga reaksiyon na yun. Kasi ang daming… it’s a very complex business,” sambit ni Tito Boy.
“It’s a very complicated business. Pero I will not pretend to know yung mga puno’t dulo.
“Pero ako, naniniwala ako na after a while — pag-uusapan, mapapag-usapan ang lahat.”

Sa Battle of the Judges, may kani-kanya silang squad.
Sa Battle of the Best o elimination round, tig-aanim na squad members ang bawat hurado.
Sa Battle to the Top na semifinal round ay gagabayan ng judges ang natitirang 12 performers. Six battles iyon.
Sa final level na The Ultimate Battle o Championship round, anim na performers na lang ang magpapakitang-gilas. Isa lang ang hihiranging kampeon.
Kitang-kita na ultimo sa pagdadamit at styling, pati sa mga binibitiwang mga salita, may pagalingan talaga ng judges.
Pero para sa akin, ang ultimate winner ay ang kapatid kong si Annette Gozon-Valdes. Kasi, siya ang lady boss ng GMA ngayon na literally in charge of what’s on air, and she is doing it with much class and precision!
She is really the boss of everyone there in the show, but she doesn’t make you feel it! Swabe lang. Masaya lang.
