May intimate scenes sina Khalil Ramos at Ashley Ortega sa Cinemalaya 2023 film na As If It’s True. Naghalikan sila!
“Sobrang excited ako kasi finally, di ba, nagbabalik na ang pelikulang Pinoy,” sabi ni Khalil sa mediacon ng Cinemalaya XIX: Iluminasyon noong Hulyo 5, Miyerkules, sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.
“And I’m very happy na si Ashley ang naka-partner ko dito. She’s been very supportive, very game with all the scenes that we’ve been doing.
“And napaka-collaborative din ng buong team. Yung direktor namin, si John Rogers, super-cool din lang niya. Super-chill lang.”

Nag-cameo si Khalil sa Cinemalaya 2018 film na Liway, kung saan bida si Glaiza de Castro.

Pahayag ng Kapuso actress, “I’m super-excited pero at the same time, siyempre nape-pressure din ako. Kasi, iba yung expectations ng tao pagdating sa Cinemalaya.
“Talagang matsa-challenge ka bilang isang aktres. And buti na lang, si Khalil my partner is a very professional actor.
“So he made me more comfortable on set. And yun nga, with the help of our director, si Direk John… sa set, sobrang saya lang. Sobrang chill lang.
“When I read the script, actually medyo kinabahan ako. Kasi may mga intimate scenes na first time ko lang siyang ginawa sa movie, at first time ko lang ginawa ever sa buong showbiz career ko.
“Pero, of course, I wanna grow as an actress, so with this role, talagang pinush ko yung limits ko to be out of my comfort zone as an actress.”
Ipinagdiinan ni Ashley na professional si Khalil sa intimate scenes nila.
Dagdag ni Ashley, “Sa first shooting day pa lang namin, may mga intimate scenes na kaming ginawa pero wala akong na-feel na ilang sa kanya.
“And I think, yun nga, offcam we get to work on our relationship. Nag-uusap kami. So at least on set, on cam, talagang comfortable na kami sa mga eksena namin.”

Tugon ni Khalil, “Hindi naman siguro. Yung film, hindi niya intensiyon yung intimate scenes. Kumbaga, hindi yun yung highlight ng pelikula.
“It’s a story about two people figuring out what love in their generation actually is.”
I’m sure, ipagmamalaki talaga ni Khalil itong pelikula niyang ito, pati na ang bago niyang musical play na Tick, Tick… Boom!!! Keep the momentum, Khalil!!!

Paano inalalayan ni Khalil si Ashley sa intimate scenes?
“We did workshops together. I think that’s very important na ma-establish niyo yung trust nyo as actors,” saad ni Khalil.
“Sabi ng workshop coordinator namin, ‘Magharap kayo then tell each other how much you trust one another.’ So, I told her.”
Kumusta si Ashley bilang ka-partner sa movie?
“Very supportive siya. Sobrang game lang niya. Very happy ako na walang ilangan,” sabi ni Khalil.
“Napakaimportante kasi yung hindi awkward.”
