Kapupulutan ng aral ang pelikulang Lola Magdalena, na istorya ng limang may-edad na prostitute.
Bida rito sina Gloria Diaz, Perla Bautista, Liza Lorena, Pia Moran, at Sunshine Cruz. Ang director ay si Joel Lamangan.
"Well, for me, the most important is the way you look at prostitutes, or p*kp*k,” saad ni Gloria matapos ang preview ng movie noong Oktubre 3, 2023, Martes ng hapon sa Sine Pop, Cubao, Quezon City.
"Actually, you cannot judge them. Because the first thing you always think, 'There are other ways to make money.'
"But you know, at the end of the day, they all have huge problems. They’re all breadwinners.
"And I’m not saying it’s good, but you know, let’s not judge them. Because you can see, everyone’s a breadwinner, and parang lahat sila, actually, nakakaawa, ‘no?
"And in fact, our government is supposed to just… They don’t stop it, e. They should just make it like in other countries. They should just have health care that’s free, di ba?
"Buti nga, yun lang ang nakuha niya, e, cancer of the cervix, di ba? Hindi AIDS or something."
Ang tinutukoy ni Gloria na nagkakanser ay ang karakter ni Sunshine Cruz.
Pagpapatuloy ni Gloria, "Because in the Philippines, we are the highest daw in Southeast Asia. So, yun ang iniisip ko lagi.
"Kasi, my daughter lives in P. Burgos, in Makati. Mayaman yun, ‘no, and all. But I saw so many there and wala lang, parang ‘Hello!’ ‘Hi!’
"Nakita ko kahapon, yun pa rin ang suot or something. And I used to see, like, what you see in Bocaue and Kuli-kuli, I used to see in Tanay.
"Remember Didith Reyes? Dun siya bumagsak, di ba, sa Tanay? And I know that club because I used to shoot there a lot.
"Yun talagang there are really girls who were just hanging out there, and you know, it’s exactly the same, e. Hindi ba? The same situation that we were here. But old.
"And dun lang talaga ang bagsakan nila pag tumanda, di ba? It’s sad but funny."
Gusto ba niyang mapanood ng mga anak niya itong Lola Magdalena?
Mabilis na tugon ni Gloria, "Yes! In fact, Belle was supposed to come. She went on a medical mission and then, dumating lang siya in Makati by 3:30.

Challenging kay Gloria ang papel bilang faith healer sa harap ng simbahan kung araw, at pagkagat ng dilim ay rumarampa bilang p*kp*k.
Pagtatapat ni Gloria, "The hardest part for me was to make mura. I mean, wala akong maisip nun, di ba?! Burikak! §¥*&@!!!
"I want to be as vulgar as I can be. But I found that a little difficult kasi, kung hindi ka naman sanay na sanay…
"Pero ngayon, medyo na! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Prinaktis."
Pero teka!!! Lead din pala si Gloria Diaz sa Mallari movie with Piolo Pascual. Paano kaya?
May rule ang MMFF na puwede ka lang maging bida sa isang official entry. Abangan natin ang resulta ng selection sa October 17.

Mahaba-haba ang dialogue ni Gloria sa prison scene ng Lola Magdalena.
"Pero it was a normal conversation. Hindi yun bang nagwawala na hostess, ganun. Mahirap gawin yan," saad ni Gloria.
"Try it at home. Praktis mo yan, mga ganun ba."
Sa edad na 72, hindi pa raw nahihirapan si Gloria na mag-memorize ng lines niya.
Nasa cast din ng Lola Magdalena sina Jim Pebanco, Harlene Bautista, Carlo San Juan, Myrna Castillo, Joni McNab, Angel Guardian, Joonee Gamboa, Marcus Madrigal, Nella Dizon, Dorothy Gilmore, at ang executive producer na si Amelia Zuniga ng Hero Hito Productions.
