Ano ang reaksiyon niya sa movie title na Isla Babuyan?
“Nakakatawa nga, e,” pagngiti ni Jameson sa mediacon noong Enero 5, 2024, Biyernes, sa Fish and Claw Grill, Timog Avenue, Quezon City.
“When you first hear it talaga, it sounds… ano kaya ang mangyayari sa movie? Nakaka-curious lang.
“So ayun, at the same time, like what they said, it’s campy. May mga comedy scenes, funny scenes. Ayun, so wait for it.”
Ayon sa Wikipedia, “Babuyan Island (sometimes called Babuyan Claro or Curuga Mabuyan, the clear-sighted) is the highest and northernmost island in the Babuyan Islands in Luzon Strait north of Luzon Island in the Philippines and also directly south of Taiwan via Bashi Channel to Luzon Strait.
“The whole island makes up the barangay of Babuyan Claro, that constitute the municipality of Calayan in Cagayan province.”
Hindi po sa Babuyan Island ang shooting location ng Isla Babuyan, kundi sa Lian, Batangas.
Kung si Geraldine o ang karakter niyang si Anastassia ang "Babae sa Isla Babuyan," si Jameson ang maituturing na "Lalaki sa Isla Babuyan."
Pahayag pa ni Jameson, “Siguro this time I’m revealing more skin. That’s all I can say. Ha! Ha! Ha! Siguro, ibang atake ngayon.”

Dahil isla ang location, may mga eksena sa dalampasigan o buhangin, sa ilog at sa dagat.
“Very beachy ang vibe at atmosphere,” pakli ni Jameson.
Siyempre, pinaghandaan niya ang papel niya sa Isla Babuyan, physically and mentally. Challenging pa rin ang role niya rito, at nae-enjoy niya ang challenges.
Sa pelikulang Isla Babuyan, puwede bang masabi na isa siyang sexy star?
Mabilis na umiling si Jameson, “No, no, no. That’s not what I would say na gagawin ko. Well, for this movie, hindi.
“I’m just open to do scenes like that, pero I’m not labeled as a sexy star. Kasi ahmm hindi naman ganun ang packaging ko.
“I like to be more versatile, I like to play boy-next-door roles. At the same time I wanna maybe play darker roles, something different.
“So I want to mix it up, not just in one type cast.”

“Pa-showdown? Hindi naman nagpa-showdown. Pero siguro, you can put it that way,” sambit ni Jameson.
“Kasi lahat kami, parang may spot. May spot kaming lahat.”

Nasa pangangalaga pa rin si Jameson ng ABS-CBN Star Magic. Meron siyang upcoming teleserye na hindi pa niya puwedeng i-reveal ang mga detalye.
“It’s still under discussion pa. Pero yun, I’ll be doing a teleserye soon with ABS-CBN. I’m also doing another film,” lahad ni Jameson.
“I also have endorsements coming up. So ayun, mga pasabog lahat. I’ll be revealing them bit by bit.”
Nag-shoot din si Jameson last year ng pelikulang Ang Ina Mo kung saan bida sina Lotlot de Leon at Charlie Dizon, sa direksiyon ni Joel Lamangan.
Competent naman si Jameson, and even daring pa nga!
Sana, mapangatawanan niya ang pagiging breakthrough star — yung parang may anghang at asim niya... Yung astang hindi bland.

May limitasyon ba ang paghuhubad niya sa big screen?
“Sa akin, basta no frontal. For now," saad ni Jameson.
"You know, I’m still evolving as an actor. So, yung kissing scenes, bed scenes, they’re OK with me.
“Hindi naman ako parang maarte sa ganyan. Sa first movie ko pa lang, di ba, parang I broke the ice that time.
“So I think it’s parang weird if I tell people na I don’t wanna do that anymore.”
Naisip ba niyang lumipat ng ibang TV station?
“Hindi naman pumasok sa isip ko. Kasi I’m still working, I’m still getting projects. Hindi siya parang dead air or something,” tugon ni Jameson.
“I’m still surviving and I’m loyal to ABS-CBN. And I still feel the love from them na they’re still concerned about me, they still give me work.
“So everything is good and fine. So why will I think of switching?”
