“We tell Juliana naman, whatever offers there are, and whatever she decides to do with the offers, we really tell her to be the one, siya yung magdedesisyon kung gusto ba niya o hindi,” tugon ni Mayor Lucy.
“Huwag niya kaming isipin, na dapat gawin or hindi dapat gawin. It’s up to her.
“Whatever feels right for the heart, that’s what I tell her. Sabi ko, ‘It has to rest easy in your heart.’”

Natigilan saglit si Mayor Lucy bago nagturan, “Ahhh… parang we’re always taught to do our best. But our best, not to oppress anyone else along the way.
“Hindi yung kailangang the best ka at all cost. Hindi ganun.
“And that’s what I tell Juliana, ‘I want you to be your best. You don’t have to be the best,’ because in the context of things, what is the best really?
“You’re only as good as your last competition. At some point, somebody will always be better than you.
“So, I do not want you to live your life thinking na you’re only valued if you are the best.”

Sagot ni Mayor Lucy, “Hindi ko na-feel yon. Hindi. I do not feel that with Juliana, and… you know, I wish I had more kids.
“But given that we only have one, OK na rin. Because we are a very tight family, and we spend a lot of time together.
“It’s just us, the three of us. Our little big family of three, no? So si Juliana was always an easy child. Hindi naman siya yung ano.

Sa Setyembre ay 24 years old na si Juliana. Naiisip pa ba nila ni Congressman Goma na magkaroon pa ng anak?
“Hindi na siguro,” sabi ng 49-anyos na si Mayor Lucy.

Nasa culminating activities na ang month-long celebration ng Piña festival sa Ormoc.
Noong Hunyo 26, Miyerkules, ay ginanap ang LGU Employees' Night sa Ormoc City Superdome.
Naghandog ng production numbers sina Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez, Congressman Richard Gomez, LGU department heads, at pitong clusters.
Ang tema ay “The Greatest Night of Pop.”
Pinagpugayan ang Grease at Spice Girls, at sina Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, at Madonna.
“Sana nandito kayo kagabi. Nakita niyo sana kung gaano kagaling ang mga LGU namin,” lahad ni Mayor Lucy.
“I got the production team before ng Shall We Dance?. Kasi, ang competition always pag LGU, naka-cluster sila, e.
“I felt na since magpapraktis din lang sila, galingan na nila.”
Nitong Hunyo 27, Huwebes ng gabi, ay nag-concert naman ang ABBA Revisited-Canada sa Ormoc City Stage. Siyempre pa, dinagsa iyon ng mga tao, maging ng mga tagaibang bayan.
Ngayong Hunyo 28, Biyernes ng gabi, naman ang Parade of Lights 2024 na mag-uumpisa sa Robinsons Place Ormoc. Ang tema naman nito ay “All About Disney.”
