Tatlong pelikula ang inilunsad ng Regal Entertainment, Inc. sa selebrasyon ng kanilang 60th anniversary na ginanap sa Valencia Events Place, Quezon City, noong Sabado, September 21, 2024.
Ito ang highlight sa kanilang selebrasyong Regal Legacy, bilang pagbibigay-pugay na rin sa namayapang Regal matriarch na si Mother Lily Monteverde.
Ang mag-inang Roselle at Keith Monteverde na ang nangangasiwa ngayon ng Regal Entertainment. Pero ipagpapatuloy pa rin nila ang sinimulan ni Mother Lily.

Bahagi ng welcome speech ni Roselle Monteverde, “On behalf of Regal Entertainment, Inc., my siblings with my brother Dondon, of course with my sister Sherida Monteverde-Tan, Goldwyn Monteverde, we are strongly decided to carry on, of course not only her works, but really her action, the legacy of Mother Lily.
“We cannot just see it go away. Seeds had been planted since she entered as the housewife in the entertainment industry for more than 60 years.”
MOTHER LILY'S LEGACY
Nasaksihan naman natin lahat sa showbiz na hindi lang ang Regal ang concern ni Mother Lily kundi ang buong entertainment industry.
Kaya ang pangako ni Roselle, sampu ng kanyang pamilya, ipagpatuloy pa rin nila ang lahat ng ginagawa ni Mother Lily sa buong entertainment industry.
Sabi pa ni Roselle: “She fought for the industry many times. Lagi niyang sinasabi, hindi dapat pabayaan ang pelikulang Pilipino, ang industriyang Pilipino.
“She nurtured this with dedication, love, compassion, until her achievements become deeply rooted in a lot of people’s lives.
“As a daughter, I’m very lucky to have been mentored for over 30 years. But I’m facing a big challenge how to make sure, to live not only through her memories and her achievements, but moving forward and fortify this in the next decades and generations.
“My siblings and the key people here in Regal, together, are here to serve the industry and the Filipino audience worldwide. We will uphold to this day, moving forward our commitment as great as what was planted to continue the legacy of Mother Lily.
“Ito ang pamilya niya, ang itinaguyod talaga ni Mother… ito ang pamilya niya sa movie industry.
“Hindi lang ang Regal ang itinaguyod niya, itinaguyod niya ang pelikulang Pilipino.
“Kaya nagpapasalamat ako siyempre sa aking mga magulang, Leonardo and Lily Monteverde, kasi lagi niyang sinasabi, kayo ang kanyang pamilya.
“We will continuously support each other, and make not only Regal but all entertainment industry live on forever. This is the great Mother Lily legacy, and this is now her Regal legacy.”

NOEL FERRER
Si Keith Monteverde ang nagpakilala ng tatlong pelikulang nagawa ng Regal. Dumalo rin ang stars ng tatlong pelikulang ito.
Unang in-announce ni Keith ang pelikulang Guilty Pleasure na si Lovi Poe ang bida at si Connie Macatuno ang director.
Kasama niya rito sina Jameson Blake, Dustin Yun, at iba pang stars ng Regal. Sa October 16 na ang showing nito.

Ang pangalawa ay ang My Future You na launching movie ng loveteam ng FranSeth na sina Seth Fedelin at Francine Diaz. Si Crisanto Aquino ang direktor nito.

At ang pangatlong ipinakilala ni Keith ay ang horror movie na Untold na first movie ni Jodi Sta. Maria sa Regal. Si Derrick Cabrido ang director nito.

Hindi man nila in-announce, napag-alaman ng PEP Troika na ang Untold ang isusumite ng Regal sa finished films ng Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.
Ilang MMFF na ring naiisnab ang Regal, pero sinasabi ng karamihan na dapat na meron namang Regal movie ngayong nasa 50th year na ang MMFF at pagbibigay-halaga na lang kay Mother Lily.
Tinanong ng PEP Troika si Roselle Monteverde kung madidismaya ba sila kung sakaling hindi na naman sila makapasok sa MMFF.
“Of course, we look forward every time sa MMFF, di ba? Pero definitely, we’re out here naman always to produce a quality movie, di ba?
“So, yun naman, hindi kami nagpi-fail sa paggawa nun. To always produce a quality movie anytime of the year,” sagot ni Roselle.
Siyanga pala, may special tribute kay Mother Lily sa closing ceremony ng 4th Philippine Film Industry (PFIM) sa Setyembre 27, Biyernes ng gabi.
Ang tema ng 4th PFIM ay “Tuloy Ang Tradisyon ng Pelikulang Pilipino.”
Pinagpupugayan dito ang labing-isang National Artists for Film and Broadcasting na sina Eddie Romero, Lamberto Avellana, Fernando Poe Jr., Nora Aunor, Manuel Conde, Marilou Diaz-Abaya, Ricky Lee, Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal, Gerry de Leon, at Kidlat Tahimik.
