CELESTINA: BURLESK DANCER
Ikatlo, ang VMX movie na Celestina: Burlesk Dancer starring Yen Durano ay nakatakdang ipalabas sa mga sinehan sa Disyembre 4, 2024.
If ever, makikipagsalpukan ito sa epic historical action film na Gladiator II, starring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington.
1940s ang setting ng Celestina: Burlesk Dancer, na idinirek ni Mac Alejandre, sa panulat ng National Artist na si Ricky Lee.
Co-stars dito sina Christine Bermas, Sid Lucero, at Arron Villena.
Ibang-iba ito sa Burlesk Queen (MMFF 1977) na pinagbidahan ni Vilma Santos sa direksyon ni Celso Ad. Castillo, maging sa Burlesk Queen Ngayon (1999) na tinampukan ni Ina Raymundo sa direksiyon ni Jose Carreon.

VMX FILM FESTIVAL
Pampito, magkakaroon ng VMX Film Festival next year, malamang na matapos ang eleksyon sa Mayo.
Para sa unang salvo, pitong script ang pipiliin, na pagkakalooban ng PHP2M grant ang bawat isa.
Ang deadline ng submission ng script ay Nobyembre 20, 2024.
Pahayag ng festival director na si Ronald Arguelles, “Our mission is to discover fresh talents, voices, and visions that can revitalize not just VIVAMAX but Filipino cinema as a whole.
“We want to challenge filmmakers and talents to redefine possibilities and be the game-changers that we need them to be.
“The VMX Film Festival is here to spotlight bold, untold stories and give a platform to new talents.
“We’re calling on filmmakers ready to break the mold — those with daring, and mature/adult-oriented projects that will redefine cinema.
“We are seeking filmmakers with projects that reflect bold and fresh perspectives, pushing the boundaries of storytelling.
“Submissions are open, and we’re accepting feature film projects of at least 60 minutes.
“Filmmakers must be first-timers on either VIVAMAX or Viva One, and the works must tell Filipino stories, primarily in Filipino dialogue. Content suited for the VMX app.
“We also encourage using the incredible talent pool from VIVA Artists Agency.
“We’re also committed to diversity and inclusivity. The VMX Film Festival is open to all filmmakers and open to diverse themes — from regional Filmmakers, to female directors, from stories with LGBTQ+ themes or to stories with alternative take on erotica.
“We want to showcase a wide array of projects that will challenge and expand the limits of Filipino cinema and bring them to an international stage, whether at International Film festivals or to global Film markets.”

Siya ang boss dati ng Cinema One at siyang head ng napaka-progressive na Cinema One Originals.
Kaya I wish this festival all the best lalo pa’t dadalhin ito sa next level na.
Ang sabi sa akin ni Ronald, “adult-oriented film suited for the requirements of the app, a new take on erotica” ang mga tipo ng pelikulang hinahanap nila.
