May mga nagulat, naaliw o nakiliti sa isang maselang eksena ni Marco Masa sa Netflix zombie thriller na Outside, na nag-streaming noong Oktubre 2024.
Natawa ang 17-anyos na si Marco bago nagkomento, “It’s part of the role naman po. It’s part of acting.”

Nakatsikahan namin sandali si Marco bago ang premiere screening ng eco-horror movie na The Caretakers nitong Pebrero 24, 2025, Lunes, sa The Block ng SM North EDSA, Quezon City.
Gumanap si Marco sa The Caretakers bilang panganay sa tatlong anak ni Lydia (Dimples Romana).
Nagka-girlfriend na ba siya?
“I haven’t had any girlfriends po. Pero if we’re gonna count yung mga M.U.s, of course, may mga crush-crush naman, hindi naman maiiwasan yan,” sambit ni Marco.
“Pero actual girlfriend na may label, wala pa.”

Sino ang crush niya sa local showbiz?
“Right now po, ang crush ko? Ahh… well… siguro, celebrity crush… ito kasi, nagkakasama kami ni Ate Ysabel Ortega sa AOS,” napangiting pagtatapat ni Marco.
“So, I mean… yeah.”
Twenty-six years old na si Ysabel. Mas gusto ba niya sa girl iyong medyo may edad sa kanya nang konti?
“Well, ano naman po, happy crush lang po. Nothing serious when it comes to that,” paglilinaw ni Marco.
“Pero kung sa magiging girlfriend ko, kung gusto ko pong medyo mas matanda sa akin? Hindi ko pa rin po masabi.
“Kasi OK naman po ako, but as much as possible, yung hindi naman sobrang tanda sa akin!”
May girls ba na nagpaparamdam o nagpi-flirt sa kanya?
“Wala naman po, wala naman po sa ngayon.”
Paghanga lang daw ang nararamdaman niya kay Ysabel. Wala sa isip niyang sulutin o agawin si Ysabel kay Miguel Tanfelix.
“Si Kuya Miguel, naka-work ko na siya. So, medyo magka-close na rin kami,” pahayag ni Marco.
Ipapalabas ang eco-horror film na The Caretakers bukas, Pebrero 26, Miyerkules, sa mga sinehan nationwide. Idinirek ito ni Shugo Praico.
Maliban kina Marco at Dimples, nasa cast nito sina Iza Calzado, Althea Ruedas, Erin Espiritu, Ashley Sarmiento, Erika Clemente, Inka Magnaye, at Jake Taylor.

Tuluy-tuloy ang projects ni Marco Masa kahit nasa awkward stage pa siya.
“I feel like I’m pretty blessed. Sobrang grateful po ako sa lahat ng projects na nakukuha ko ngayon,” saad ni Marco.
“Even though, I mean, I’m 17. I’m in the process of, you know, awkward stage kagaya ng sabi niyo.
“I’m really happy na kahit nasa awkward stage ako, nabibigyan ako ng chance to showcase my talents, to showcase what I do.
“And ako naman po, I’m just trying to do my best in everything that I do. So I’m really happy, I’m really blessed. Thank God!”
Nahihirapan ba siyang mag-transition, considering iyong mga role na babagay sa kanya?
“Well, growing up naman po, parang I would say medyo may difference sa kung papaano ko atakehin yung mga characters ko before since bata pa ako.
“But hindi naman po ako ganun nahirapan to adapt when it comes to, you know, this type of roles dahil meron na rin naman po akong nagawang few movies before.
“But as I would say, every role naman is different. So I had to add a little bit of spice in every role that I do para mas tangkilikin siya ng mga tao.”

Sobrang nagpapasalamat si Marco Masa sa Regal Entertainment at Rein Entertainment na nakasama siya sa The Caretakers.
Ani Marco sa Q&A matapos ang premiere screening: “It was meticulously made and I’m just really happy to be part of it with such wonderful cast.
“Na gaya po ng sabi ni Ashley [Sarmiento], talaga namang andami ko pong natutunan especially kina Miss Dimples, kina Miss Iza.
“Hindi lang po about sa acting but about our personal lives as well. And I mean, after watching the movie, hindi pa talaga siya nagsi-sink in.
“Ang hirap, ambigat! Though I’m just really happy and beyond grateful to be part of it.
“Kasi yung message na ipinaparating ng movie na ito is not just about love, about family.
“It’s also about nature, our surroundings, how we take care of our surroundings. And yun din talaga yung nagma-matter.
“And I feel like lahat naman tayo dito, meron tayong kanya-kanyang pinoprotektahan.
“So, meron tayong iba’t ibang ways to protect our loved ones, ourselves as well, and hindi natin alam talaga kung ano yung magiging consequences ng mga ginagawa natin.
“So we better make better choices for our future life.”
