Tuloy ang laban para kay Lino Cayetano.
Ito ay pagkatapos i-reverse ng Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) ang naunang desisyon ng Taguig Municipal Trial Court (MTC) tungkol sa residency nila ng asawa niyang si Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.
Sa naunang desisyon ng Taguig MTC noong Pebrero 17, 2025, idineklara nilang lehitimong residente ng First District ng Taguig-Pateros sina Lino at Fille.
Ngunit kahapon, Marso 6, binaligtad ng Taguig RTC ang desisyon ng Taguig MTC.
Ipinag-utos ng Taguig RTC na tanggalin ang mga pangalan nina Lino at Fille sa listahan ng registered voters sa Precint No. 0926A ng Barangay Ususan dahil hindi umano napatunayan ng mag-asawa na residente sila sa naturang barangay.
Iaapela raw nina Lino at Fille ang desisyon ng Taguig RTC.

TULOY ANG LABAN
Sa official statement na ipinost sa kanyang social media accounts, sinabi ni Lino na "tuloy pa rin ang laban."
Mensahe niya: “I believe that truth and democracy will prevail.
"The residency issue, as well as other personal attacks, has also been the subject of fake news and black propaganda that has been spreading around Taguig in recent weeks.
“I appeal to our fellow citizens to remain discerning and not be swayed by misinformation.
“We remain steadfast in our belief that democracy will ultimately prevail.
"We will exercise our right to appeal this decision, confident that the truth will shine through and that justice will be served.”

Nagpasalamat si Direk Lino Cayetano sa supporters nitong hindi bumitaw sa kanya at naniniwala sa kanyang adhikaing magsilbi sa Taguig-Pateros.
Bahagi pa rin ng kanyang official statement: “We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support of our countless supporters and believers who continue to stand by us.
“Your trust and encouragement, along with the unwavering support of our friend and family, strengthen our resolve to move forward.
“The strong showing in recent surveys reflects the collective voice of those who share our vision, and it inspires us to push on with even greater determination.
“We urge our supporters to remain calm and vigilant. Let us continue to advocate for clean and fair elections, where every voice is heard and every vote is valued.

Naging emotional si Lino Cayetano nang nakapanayam siya ni Toni Gonzaga sa Toni Talks.
Hindi naman lingid sa lahat na ang sinusuportahan ng kuya ni Lino, si Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, ay ang kalaban ni Lino sa posisyong congressman ng First District ng Taguig-Pateros.
"SO BE THE HERO"
Ayon kay Lino, ang kanyang ina ang takbuhan niya, kaya tinanong siya ni Toni kung ano ang ipinapayo ng ina sa gitna ng pinagdaanan niya.
“Ang sabi niya, 'In a relationship, there always has to be a hero.' So, sabi niya, 'So be the hero. Be the one who’s kind,' yun…” gumaralgal na ang boses ni Direk Lino sa sagot niyang ito.
Patuloy niya: “It’s a good advice.
"Puwede naman tayong palaban, puwede namang may sabihin tayong masama, pero puwedeng sisihin ko sila, puwedeng sagutin ko yung masama kong naririnig.
“Pero I think the best thing is what my mom told me, is what parents often tell their kids — be kind.”
Ang maging mabuting tao ang gusto raw makita ni Lino sa kanya ng mga anak niya.
“Kasi maraming magsasabi, sumunod na lang ako. Don’t fight for the things that I think are worth fighting for. In the name of the family.
“Ang daling gamitin ang salitang pamilya, e, sa kulturang Pilipino. Huwag ka na lumaban kasi pamilya.
“Pero siguro, ang pinakaimportanteng sasabihin ko sa mga anak ko, 'I fought for the right things, because I love my family.'
"Because at the end of the day, I feel like what’s in the heart of my father, what’s in the heart of my brother and my sister, what’s in my heart, and I want to be in the heart of my kids, are the same.
“So, bali-baliktarin man ang mundo, iba-ibahin man ang pamamaraan, I think ang tama ay tama. And you should fight for the right things,” sabi ni Direk Lino.
