May kutob ang buong team ng Espantaho na may mapapanalunan sila sa 45th Fantasporto International Film Festival dahil ni-request sila ng organizer ng filmfest na dumalo.
Kailangan lang nilang magdala ng isa sa cast ng pelikula na in competition sa Fantasporto.
Pinakiusapan ni Atty. Joji Alonso ng Quantum Films si Judy Ann Santos kung puwede itong dumalo dahil nai-commit na nila sina Lorna Tolentino at Janice de Belen sa Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) sa Los Angeles, California, USA.
Halos magkasabay ang dalawang filmfest na ito.

FAKE NEWS ABOUT JUDY ANN SANTOS
Nawindang lang si Atty. Joji nang kumalat ang fake news na nagdadalantao si Juday. Nakakasa na kasi ang biyahe nila kasama ang asawang si Ryan Agoncillo.
Kaagad nilinaw ni Atty. Joji kay Juday kung papayagan ang aktres ng doktor nito na bumiyahe kung buntis nga.
Tawang-tawa si Juday na sinagot ang producer niya na fake news iyon. Hindi raw totoong buntis siya.
Sulit naman ang biyahe ng aktres dahil siya pala ang wagi sa Fantasporto. Nagpasalamat siya kay Atty. Joji na sa kanya inialok ang proyektong ito.
JUDY ANN'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
Bahagi ng acceptance speech niya nang tinanggap ang best actress trophy, “I would like to thank the Jury of Fantasporto for the recognition.
“It is with great pride and honor that I am here to represent my country, which is the Philippines.
“I would also like to share this award to my director Chito Roño, our writer Chris Martinez, and my producer Atty. Joji [Alonso], and of course, to [the] Espantaho team, and to my husband and to my three children. They’ve always been my inspiration in every project [that] I make.
“Porto is such a beautiful city. I’m just so happy that I’m bringing home the best souvenir.”

I wish they didn’t include na the artists as nominees in the Audience Choice of the MIFF, which was really a popularity vote from the limited theater audience of the recently concluded festival.
Let it not be confused with Juday’s real international achievement with esteemed jurors. Just saying.

Tungkol sa Manila International Film Festival 2025 nitong Marso 4-7, di ba, tig-iisa ng screening ang Pinoy movies na ipinalabas?
At yung mga award-award ay base sa attendance ng audience sa bawat screening?
Pahayag ng insider, “Ang festival ay Martes hanggang Biyernes kung saan may trabaho ang mga tao.
“Nag-o-overlap ang mga screening kaya namimili ang tao kung alin ang panonoorin.
“Libre ang screening ng Green Bones. Marami ang nalito sa schedule kaya hinayang na hinayang. Dumating ang iba, tapos na ang screening.
