Ipinanganak si Rodrigo sa Greater Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Siyam na taong gulang pa lang siya nang umpisahang gayahin ang pag-awit at pagsasayaw ni Michael Jackson.
Siya ang itinuturing na pinakamahusay na MJ impersonator.

MICHAEL LIVES FOREVER
Tatlo ang pagtatanghal niya ng Michael Lives Forever this weekend sa Newport Performing Arts Theater sa Pasay City.
Una ay sa Marso 14, 2025, Biyernes ng 8:00 .PM.
Kinabukasan, Marso 15, Sabado, dalawa ang palabas — 3:00 P.M. at 8:00 P.M.
Inaasahang ipe-perform ni Rodrigo ang mga kantang "Billie Jean," "Thriller," "Man in the Mirror," "Beat It," "Heal The World," "Black or White," "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Smooth Criminal," at iba pa.
Itinanghal na ang Michael Lives Forever sa Malaysia, China, at Singapore.
First time ito sa Pilipinas.
“I’m so happy to be here! Because in 1996, Michael performed in Manila,” lahad ni Rodrigo.
“And for some reason, if you watched the shows from 1996, 1997, Michael was more like a serious guy.
“But for some reason, Mike was so happy in Manila. That show became one of the most loved between the fans because between songs for the whole, ahhh I think the whole concert Michael was so happy, smiling, and he always said, ‘I love you, Manila!’
“Back then, I learned about Manila and I said, ‘Oh, for some reason Michael was so happy.’
“And now I’m here, and I have to say I am very happy and very honored to be here.
“It’s my first time in the Philippines and I hope it’s not my last.”

Dagdag ni Rodrigo: “Those kind of songs ahhh I don’t know if that brings memories or I’m not sure what it is.
“But it’s possible to see when we play on the stage, the people to be honest kind of change.
“It’s something so beautiful that happens because you see little child and everyone no matter the age singing the same song, dancing the same song.
“So I love that kind of thing, and I have to say that Billie Jean is I think one of the most special because there’s a lot of the head, the glove, the the whole thing,” pagmumuwestra ni Rodrigo.
“So I think Billie Jean is one of my favorites at the show.”
Kasama ni Rodrigo sa Michael Lives Forever ang dancer at choreographer ni MJ, pati iyong back-up singer at co-director, for more than 20 years.
Hindi masabi ni Rodrigo kung hanggang kailan niya gagawin ang tribute show sa King of Pop.
Aniya, “I always said that as long as I can perform with respect for Michael and the audience, I will keep doing it…
“Michael is something that I love so much and bring me so many good feelings that I hope to be able to do that for I dunno maybe five or six more years. Or more.”

What’s the best thing about performing the songs of Michael Jackson?
Tugon ni Rodrigo Teaser: “I think the best thing about performing is, I always said that I’m not an artist that learned how to impersonate Michael.
“I’m a fan, by impersonating my idol, learned that I could be an artist. So my whole vision is this like he is the one.
“That for me is the main point. It’s a tribute. I’m not trying to be like him because no one can be like him.
“I know that there’s a line that no one can cross that because it belongs to him.
“So the most beautiful for me is when you got a full venue and you see so many people singing and dancing, and remember how amazing Michael was.
“That’s the most amazing thing for me,” pagngiti ni Rodrigo, “because you can see that he is forever.
“Not only the songs but the feeling that we have for him.”

Hindi mawawala siyempre ang pamba-bash.
Marami man ang pumupuri at namamangha sa pagpupugay ni Rodrigo sa King of Pop, meron ding negative reactions.
Sabi ni Rodrigo, “I think the negative part is that some people have their own images of Michael because of something they believe, or something they read about it.
“But I think when they believe that negative things, they start to see the whole Michael thing with their eyes, and sometimes they don’t see that I’m just a fan doing my tribute to someone that I love.”
