Sabi ng daughter niyang si Rachel Alejandro, “My dad naman is doing better. Nasa bahay na siya ulit, so which is good.
“And thank you so much sa lahat po ng mga nag-send ng mga well-wishes saka yung mga prayers para sa kanya.”
Nakapanayam si Rachel ng ilang taga-media bago ganapin ang FDCP Parangal ng Sining 2025, nitong Abril 11, Biyernes ng gabi, sa Seda Vertis North, Quezon City.
Kabilang si Rachel sa performers sa event, along with Jeffrey Hidalgo, Nyoy Volante, Cookie Chua, Arman Ferrer, and Nicole Asensio.
Nagkakausap ba sila ng kanyang ama?
Tumango si Rachel: “Oo, every day magkasama kami… Well, of course, alam naman niya na may mga work na rin ako.
“And so you know, I’ve been here now for the past two months, except for the time na umalis ako for L.A., for three days lang.
“And you know my dad would actually be out there performing too.
“In fact, yung tour nga with the APO and the Hitmakers, hindi siya nakasama ngayon.
“But with your prayers and God willing po, sa susunod, e, mapapanood nyo na siya ulit. Very, very soon.”
Gusto pa rin ni Hajji na mag-perform?
Mabilis na tugon ni Rachel, “Oo naman. Siyempre first love niya talaga ang singing and performing for all of you.
“Nothing makes us happier, kaming mga singers, e.
"And in my mind, nakikita ko na tatapak kami ng entablado, magkasama ulit.”

Sinasabi ba ni Hajji Alejandro na magpe-perform together pa sila ng daughter niya?
“I always tell him that. In his case, I think kailangan. It’s something that we all have to believe in,” tugon ni Rachel.
“And of course, yung lahat ng friends niya, lahat ng nagdadasal para sa kanya believe that, too.”
Napabalita na may drama kaugnay sa girlfriend ni Hajji na si Alynna Velasquez.
Inihayag ni Alynna, sa panayam ni Julius Babao, na umalis siya sa tahanan ni Hajji matapos ang alitan sa pagitan niya at pamilya ni Hajji.
“I’ve heard people tell me na you know tungkol nga sa mga interviews,” malumanay na saad ni Rachel.
“But my dad really requested, kasi kami, that’s the reason why, kung napapansin nIyo, nobody says anything from our end, from the family.
“Because yun talaga ang request ni dad. Pero since you know, siyempre bilang singer, bilang artista, naintindihan naman niya na maraming nagmamahal sa kanyang mga fans.
“So siyempre, kami naman, respeto na rin lang sa kanya, so we don’t like — lalo na sa family namin — we don’t like discussing yung mga personal issues," saad ni Rachel.

Ikinakasa na ang showing ng musical film na Nasaan Si Hesus?, kunsaan tampok sina Geneva Cruz, Jeffrey Hidalgo, at Rachel Alejandro.
“Mag-asawa po kami ni Jeffrey Hidalgo dito. It’s a story about a community and about the different problems and different challenges that we as Christians face dito sa ating bansa,” lahad ni Rachel.
“It’s going to be shown right after the Holy Week. So parang maganda siyang you know something to contemplate.”
Sa Hunyo 25, 2025 naman ang playdate ng pelikulang Song of the Fireflies, na origin story ng Loboc Children’s Choir.
Maliban sa pagiging producer ng movie ay nasa cast niyon si Rachel, kasama sina Morissette Amon, Noel Comia Jr., Krystal Brimner, Cris Villonco, Alex Medina, at Tommy Alejandrino.
“Susunod na diyan yung release sa mga Filipino communities around the world,” sabi ni Rachel.
“Marami na talagang nag-i-inquire kasi excited talaga silang mapanood yung film…
"Pero before that pala, we’re going to be at the World Fest Houston international film festival where it’s in competition now.
“We’re going to be there. Sana po yung mga taga-Texas, mapanood po ang Song of the Fireflies on May 1 sa Memorial City. Sa Houston po iyan.”
