Tatlong magkakasunod na edisyon ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) na magkasama sa pelikula sina Cedrick Juan at Piolo Pascual.
Sa MMFF 2023, bida si Cedrick sa GomBurZa kung saan may special participation si Piolo. May sariling entry si Piolo, ang horror movie na Mallari.
Sa MMFF 2024, may cameo si Cedrick sa The Kingdom na bida sina Piolo at Vic Sotto.
At sa MMFF 2025, isa si Cedrick sa mga suporta sa Manila’s Finest kung saan bida sina Piolo at Enrique Gil.
Ang tatlong pelikulang ito ay pawang iprinodyus ng MQuest Ventures.

CEDRICK ON STARRING WITH PIOLO FOR THE THIRD TIME
Sa presscon ng Manila’s Finest noong Disyembre 5, Biyernes ng gabi, sa New Frontier Theater, Cubao, Quezon, inamin ni Cedrick na na-pressure siya nang magkatrabaho sila ni Piolo sa GomBurZa.
Naalala ni Cedrick nang tawagin siya para mag-script reading sa tent ni Piolo.
“Yun yung pressure sa akin. Kasi, I remember, I studied my script, for one and a half month,” pagtatapat ni Cedrick.
“Magbabatuhan lang kami ng linya, nawawala na yung mga linya sa isip ko. Kasi, nape-pressure na ako.
“Parang, ‘Oh, wow! Si PJ na yung kausap ko.’ Piolo pa ang tawag ko sa kanya, pero pini-PJ ko na siya. So, yon!”
PJ ang palayaw o tawag ng iba kay Piolo, na ang buong pangalan ay Piolo Jose N. Pascual.
Dagdag ni Cedrick: “I think, more than pressure, ang pinaka naging takeaway ko sa kanya, yung friendship na nabuo.
“Tapos parang somehow nandoon yung parang mga advice lalo na ngayon na meron na akong family, na parang, ‘O, kumusta naman kayo?’ Ganyan.
“Parang kuya on the set. Parang ganun. And nandoon na talaga yung wala na siyang pressure. Parang i-break mo na yung ganung klaseng wall.
“Kasi at the end of the day, we’re all actors and colleagues.”

MMFF BEST ACTOR
Nagwaging best actor ng MMFF 2023 si Cedrick para sa GomBurZa na idinirek ni Pepe Diokno.
Sa MMFF 2024, ang best actor ay si Dennis Trillo para sa Green Bones na idinirek ni Zig Dulay.
Sa MMFF 2025, llamadong mag-best actor si Piolo para sa Manila’s Finest na idinirek ni Raymond Red.
Maliban kina Piolo, Enrique at Cedrick, nasa cast ng Manila’s Finest sina Rico Blanco, Ariel Rivera, Joey Marquez, Romnick Sarmenta, Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Kiko Estrada, Paulo Angeles, Ashtine Olviga, Ethan David, Dylan Menor, Inday Fatima, at Pearl Gonzales.

Manila’s Finest is a police drama set in the gritty, changing Manila of 1969.
Penned by screenwriters Moira Lang, Michiko Yamamoto, and Sherad Sanchez, the film tells the story of Capt. Homer Magtibay (Piolo Pascual) and his trusted partner 1st Lt. Billy Ojeda (Enrique Gil) as they navigate the challenges of serving in the Manila Police District during a pivotal time.
These officers face crimes that test their loyalty, courage, and the bonds of brotherhood that define them.
More than a police drama, Manila’s Finest also explores the sacrifices made for family and friends and moral choices that shape a city struggling to hold on to its identity.

Siyangapala, ang MMFF 2025 Parade of Stars ay sa Disyembre 19, Biyernes ng 1:00 P.M., sa host city na Makati City.
Ang opening ceremony ng parada ay sa Macapagal Blvd.
Ang ruta — liliko sa Buendia Ave., kakanan sa Ayala Ave., kakaliwa sa Makati Ave., kakaliwa sa J. P. Rizal St. papunta sa Ayala Malls Circuit Makati kung saan magtatapos ang parada at merong programa.
Ang tema ng 51st MMFF ay A New Era for Philippine Cinema.
