Nagbabala ang multi-awarded scriptwriter-director na si Jose Javier Reyes aka Direk Joey kaugnay sa mga scam na audition.
Facebook post ni Direk Joey ngayong Enero 25, 2026, Linggo: “BE WARNED. I have been contacted by numerous talent agents and artists verifying if I am holding online auditions requiring photos and zoom meetings. Moreover, these meetings would lead to the request to remove pieces of clothing while on camera.
“THESE ARE SCAMMERS.
“Firstly, I have no production lined up because of my load required from my post in FDCP [Film Development Council of the Philippines].
“Secondly, despite the permit to do films and other content from the Board of Trustees of the agency, I have not agreed to do any project since I sat in my post. And...
“Thirdly, if I will accept a production and do auditions it would be coursed through a major studio or any of my authorized representatives who are officially a part of my production. I do not hire third party agents.
“SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL ... most especially young talents who yearn for a break in film and television.
“DO NOT BE EXPLOITED BY THESE SCAMMERS. If in doubt, verify. Connect with me or any of the studio representatives UTILIZED by the scammer's invitation.
“If you should receive any of these dubious invitations and verify that these are fake, immediately report to the Film Academy of the Philippines [FAP]…”
Naka-tag sa FB post na ito ni Direk Joey si FAP Director General Paolo Villaluna.

Hiningan namin ng komento si FAP Director General Paolo Villaluna kaugnay sa Facebook post ni FDCP Chairperson and CEO Jose Javier Reyes.
Sabi ni Direk Paolo via Messenger: “When it was reported to FAP last week, our legal unit began doing affidavits and other proper legal paperwork in the relevant government agency.
“FAP also shared alerts as early as a few weeks ago that was also shared by guilds.”
Noong Enero 9, 2026 ay nag-post na ang FAP sa Facebook kaugnay sa usaping ito: “The Film Academy of the Philippines encourages everyone — aspiring actors and film workers — to be vigilant against scams and fake casting calls.
“Report anything suspicious to the Academy by contacting us via grievances@filmacademy.gov.ph or through our online grievance portal (grievances.filmacademy.gov.ph).
“We assure you that your information will remain private and will be handled with care.”

SCAM AUDITION
Nainterbyu ng PEP Troika si Direk Joey noong Enero 22, Huwebes, sa Power Plant mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City, matapos ang Cinema Prive screening ng The Secret Agent.
Sinabi namin kay Direk Joey na nagamit din before sa scam audition o fake casting call si Direk Joel Lamangan, ang GMA Network, at The IdeaFirst Company.
“May scam na ginagawa, nag-a-audition na gamit ang pangalan ko, at gamit ang Regal,” himutok ni Direk Joey.
“May mga nabiktima na, pinaghubad… naano lang ako, kaming magtito. Si Mark [Reyes] sa GMA. Ano ba ito sa mga Reyes?! Bakit kami ang ginagamit?
“Sa kanya, may ginagawang Sang’gre movie raw, kaya pinaghuhubad. Tapos, sa akin naman, yung movie, horror.
“Sabi ko, saan ka naman nakakita ng horror na naghuhubad?!”
GORGY RULA
Sa pagkakaalam ni FDCP Chairperson and CEO Jose Javier Reyes ay dalawa o tatlong babae na ang nabiktima sa huwad na casting call, at nahikayat ang mga itong maghubad.
Nag-message din sa kanya ang VMX star na si Yen Durano, anak ng aktor na si Deejay Durano.
Naidirek ni Direk Joey si Yen sa 2023 VMX movies na Tag-init at Patikim Tikim.
Pagsisiwalat ni Direk Joey: “Sabi, ‘Tito Direk, totoo ba ito?’ Sabi ko, ‘Yen, hindi iyan totoo!’
“Kaya tinawagan ko ang Viva. Sabi ko, ‘Viva, sabihan niyo ang mga babae niyo na huwag patulan yan.'
"Laganap yan, laganap.”
Kabilang pa sa VMX projects ni Yen ang Litsoneras, Eks, Celestina: Burlesk Dancer, Ganti-Ganti, Lovely Ladies Dormitory, at Sssshhhh!.

JOEY REYES WARNS ASPIRING NEWBIES
Mensahe pa ni Direk Joey sa mga gustong mag-artista, lalo na sa mha bata: “Walang masama na magkaroon ng ambisyon at wala ring masama na humanap ng pagkakataon para makahanap sila ng big break nila, makapasok sa pelikula.
“Pero mag-iingat kayo, lalung-lalo na sa mga tao na humihingi ng mga video ninyo. Kilalanin ninyong mabuti, at ive-verify ninyo.
“Dahil oras na pumayag kayo sa mga pinapagawa nila sa inyo, wala nang bawian yun.
“At oras na in-upload iyon sa internet, hindi mo na maiaalis yon. Forever na yon. So, mag-iingat sila.
“Kung may duda sila, magtanong sila. Importante yung magtanong sila at marami pang paraan para makapasok sa pelikula kaysa doon sa maniwala ka sa mga taong humihingi ng video out of nowhere.”
