MAYOR JOY BELMONTE AND FDCP CHAIR JOEY REYES
Ang sabi ni Mayor Joy na kakatanggap pa lang ng Gawad Lingkod Bayan, ang pinakamataas na parangal ng Civil Service Commission mula sa Malacañang: “Finally, we have talked about why we have not been working together, and now we have made a commitment to further our working relationship with one another, as two institutions working together, aligned and synergized so that we can maximize the resources that we have, for our collective objectives and goals.”
I find it illogical that the Creative City [of Films] identified in the Philippines is not working with the FDCP.
“Now that we are able to clear the air and identify the problems which have hindered us from working together, now we can sit down and really synergize.
“Since this is a year of great important that we have to give premium to the Philippine film cinema, it is so great that I am working with the QC Film Commission and QCinema again.
“FDCP is here to support any endeavor involving Philippine film, and I think it is so anomalous that we are not working with the QC Film Commission and Quezon City itself -- so I am very happy that finally and finally this has happened.”

Maraming napag usapang puwedeng magkatulungan ang FDCP at QC LGU, like the Opening of the Cinematheques.
Sa larangan ng edukasyon, they’re supporting a number of schools in Quezon City. Nandiyan din ang Support for the Film Museum that is being built.
At ang pagsasanib-puwersa ng lahat — the Big Celebration of the Philippine Film Industry Month in September highlighted by the ASEAN Film Conference.
And also that September Film month, we will celebrate QC as the UNESCO Creative City of Film.
Sabi ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte: “I am so grateful and overwhelmed. Of course, it is something that has bothered me, akala ko galit sa akin si Direk Joey.
“And we feel that it is integral and super important that we are able to work with the FDCP.
“And for me, I am so thrilled and ecstatic that the FDCP is going to be our partner towards developing the film industry, promoting the rights and welfare of the workers and training new filmmakers to be the best that they can be in a field that I believe the country should be excelling in in the global stage.”

As per Butch Ibañnez, executive of Sinag Maynila 2026: "Ever since, FDCP has been supportive of Sinag Maynila and Solar Entertainment... other details to be announced pa for this year."
