JERRY OLEA
“Invoking a woman in a derogatory and sexualized manner in a formal public proceeding is deeply inappropriate and unacceptable,” pahayag ng Aktor sa kanilang Facebook page ngayong Marso 4, Miyerkules.
“Regardless of intent, there is no justification for language that objectifies or degrades women — especially from those entrusted with public office.
“As the country observes National Women’s Month, this incident highlights the continuing need for gender sensitivity, respect, and accountability in our public spaces.
“AKTOR stands firmly against misogyny in all forms and will always defend the dignity and respect of our members.”

DGPI STATEMENT
Naglabas din ng official statement ang Directors Guild of the Philippines, Inc. (DGPI) sa usaping ito.
Facebook post ng DGPI ngayong Marso 4: “The Directors Guild of the Philippines deplores the misogynistic remarks made by a congressman during a House committee hearing with regards to a female member of the film community.
“To do this at the start of Women’s Month displays an absolute lack of sensitivity and serves as a disappointingly poor model for our fellow citizens.
“Making vulgar remarks under the guise of imagined action — even if uttered in jest — are absolutely unacceptable. Statements of imagined desire by a person in a position of power normalizes misogyny.
“The DGPI recognizes the dangers of demeaning language and will not tolerate such.
“As an organization of creatives that counts many formidable women amongst its ranks, this behavior is a reminder that we need to uphold and protect the dignity of women and help shape cultural discourse to do so.
“We hold all our public officials accountable for their conduct during their terms of office and demand that the dignity of all people be defended.
“The blatant sexism on display should not be tolerated at any level of government.”
Ang officers ng DGPI mula 2025 hanggang 2027 ay sina Keith Sicat (President), Mark Meily (Vice President), Baby Ruth Villarama (Treasurer), Ma-an Asuncion Dagñalan (Secretariat & Membership), Sari Dalena (Head of Education), Ed Lejano (Head of Grievance), Ruel Bayani (Ways and Means), Carlitos Siguion-Reyna (Board Member), at Joel Lamangan (Board Member).
FAP ARTCARD
Pahayag ng FAP: “The Film Academy stands with our film community guilds as we mark National Women’s Month.
“When everyone is valued, respected, and safe, the industry thrives—and the work gets better.”

ATOM ARAULLO
Very on brand, articulate, pinag-isipan at mas malawak ang konteksto ng pinakawalang stand ng talent ko na si Atom Araullo.
Saad niya: “If the honorable congressman thinks those remarks belong in the halls of Congress, one can only imagine what passes for normal conversation in private, especially when women aren’t in the room.
“What followed was even worse: intellectual dishonesty and refusal to engage with criticism.
“The familiar playbook of strongman politics that seems to be spreading everywhere these days.”
THERE SHOULD BE COMPLAINT AND SANCTION
Dapat may ethics complaint at sanction.
At ang mga electorate, lalo pa’t sa 4th District ako ng QC bumoboto, we know better.
In his misguided attempt to prematurely defend VP Sara Duterte, Congressman Suntay did a disservice not only to himself and his office but arguably to the very person he sought to protect.
Misogynistic arguments don't defend anyone; they only expose the speaker's own biases and detract from any legitimate discourse.
This entire episode is a painful mirror reflecting the urgent need for a "genuine moral reckoning."
It’s about demanding accountability from those in power, ensuring that the halls of government are truly spaces of dignity and respect for all, and not arenas for casual misogyny.
It's about pushing back against the normalization of objectification and ensuring that our leaders not only understand but embody the principles of gender equality.
“Our people deserve no less," indeed.

GORGY RULA
And then ito ngang “pag-iinit” ni Quezon City Fourth District Representative Jesus “Bong” Suntay.
JERRY GRACIO
