Keylyn Pan Trajano's edge over MGI All Stars candidates

“Yung edge is, I think, it’s my age and my wisdom,” bulalas ni Keylyn.

“Kumbaga kasi, I’m not young in the industry. I’m 31. But it doesn’t mean that being 31, you are already at the borderline of a pageant person.

“It’s all about ano talaga, e, it’s all about breaking that boundary.

“And I think the more you’re older, the more you’re mature, the more you have experience.

“Sa akin kasi, I was raised in the racial household. I’m Emirati, Spanish, and Filipino.

“I travel around the world. I had residency in other countries. So I was able to adapt dun sa lahat ng changes.

“It’s all about adaptability. And hindi ako naba-box sa certain na culture, religion or belief. And I’m open to see everything to be able to understand them.”

“I mean all of the candidates are beautiful, lalo na All Stars. Lahat po ay may napatunayan na."

Pero up to what yung kaya mong patunayan?

“Kaya kami bumabalik dito is because meron pa kaming patutunayan, io-offer sa tao.

“So this is a redemption and a comeback story,” sabi pa ni Keylyn.

“Dito kasi… a lot of people talk about the toxicity of the Philippines.

“I think it’s a matter of contentment.

“And of course, I love my life in the U.S. I love my life in Middle East, I love my life in Europe.

“My mom loves Europe. Pero iba yung pagmamahal ng Pilipinas kasi dito, you can actually grow, you can explore...try to be curious about yourself.

“And then try to expand through that identity and then learn where you belong.

“Kasi pag naayos natin yung sarili natin, it will actually be a chain reaction and a ripple effect sa lahat ng tao.

“Philippines is the place to be. It’s more fun in the Philippines. Philippine is love,” pam-beauty queen na pahayag ni Keylyn.

Keylyn Pan Trajano's on transwomen in beauty pageants

“Kasi may kanya-kanyang kinalakihan, may kanya-kanya tayong values, may kanya-kanya tayong paniniwala.

“Kanya-kanya tayo ng paniniwala, and of course, kung may ganyan, you need to find the safe space na lang for you.

“Kung hindi nila maiintindihan, it’s okay let them be, and I find another place for you na dun ka mas matatanggap, dun ka mas maintindihan.

“And you build your community through that,” saad ni Keylyn.

Keylyn Pan Trajano on Marina Summers' Miss Universe Philippines 2026 hosting stint

“Marina Summers is actually a friend.

“It’s pride. Yun lang po. Yung bashing na iyan kasi, it’s up to the person who’s looking at it.

“Siguro mataas lang yung expectation. I understand also, kasi kahit naman ako, my sentiments to that is, siyempre bago pa lang din siya. First time ito.

“Kahit din naman siguro ako, kung ako mag-Miss Universe host or kahit anong big pageant, first time ko, may crumbling talaga. May nerbiyos."

“Sinunod niya. Yun naman ang nakasulat, e.

“Nakasulat dun, lively voice, di ba? Tone, exciting, di ba? Papalakpak ang mga tao. May script, e.

“So, she delivered what is needed of her, and she gave a very respectful performance.

“Kasi as a transwoman, laging sinasabing ‘baklain mo.’ Bakla na nga, babaklain pa.

“Bakit mo gagawin yun, e, kailangan nga respeto, and that’s so respectful...[it's a ] celebration of women."

Ang verdict niya?

“So, she did it well.

"Of course, there’s a lot of naysayers, but there’s also a lot of believers.

“I think Marina should take it as a good criticism, so, she can improve as well.”
