Na-enjoy ni Dingdong Dantes ang shooting ng pelikulang Remember last month sa Quebec, Canada, kasama ang wife niyang si Marian Rivera.
“Alam mo, miss kong katrabaho si Marian,” sabi ni Dingdong nang makatsikahan sandali ng PEP Troika noong Hulyo 1, 2026, Miyerkules ng umaga, sa Bayanihan Center, Pioneer St., Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig City.
“Grabe, ibang-iba yung delivery niya dito. Nagulat ako, e. May isang eksena nga na napatulala ako.
“Na parang nawala ako sa sarili ko. Sabi ko, ‘Sino ito?!’ Grabe! Talagang sabi, ‘CUT! Anong nangyari sa iyo?’
“Sabi ko, ‘Sandali lang po.’ Hindi ko pa siya nakitang ganun, e. Sabi ko, ‘Iba ito!’”
Saan humugot ng emosyon si Marian sa eksenang yun?
“Ahhmm, baka secret. Hindi ko alam! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” natawang tugon ni Dingdong.
“Hindi ko na tinanong. Kasi minsan, alam mo, bilang actors, may mga tinatago kang mga pinaghuhugutan. Ayaw mong i-reveal.”
KEEPING SECRETS FROM EACH OTHER
Kahit mag-asawa sila ni Marian, meron pa rin silang itinatago sa isa’t isa?
“Alam mo, mas gusto ko na rin na ganoon. Kasi when we were doing the scene, we were co-actors, e,” saad ni Dingdong.
“Kumbaga, partners sa scene. Siyempre ayoko namang basagin yung trip niya. ‘Ano ba yung ginawa mo? Ano ba yung proseso mo?’
“Hindi. Parang… nire-respect ko yung ganung side niya na kung paano niya nabubuo yung character niya.
:So, para sa akin, ayokong pasukin yun.”
Nakapag-enjoy rin sila sa Quebec? Nakapag-bonding, nakapamasyal?
“May konti. May konti pero most of the time talagang shooting talaga siya,” sagot ni Dingdong.
“Pero alam mo, kahit walang bonding… para makasama lang siya sa set, makasama lang sa eksena — lalo na nasa ibang bansa pa — ay napakasayang experience para sa akin.”
Meron pa rin silang ‘me’ time? ‘Alone’ time?
“Yun na. Yun ang naging ano namin, sa dami ng mga kailangang gawin.”
May nabuo bang baby No. 3?
Natawa muli si Dingdong, “Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!”
Parang nag-honeymoon silang muli? Gusto ba nilang masundan na si Sixto?
“Hmmmnn depende. Depende kung ibibigay ng Panginoon.”

Nasa Bayanihan Center noong Hulyo 1 si Dingdong Dantes bilang chaiman at founding president ng AKTOR-League of Filipino Actors.
Present din doon ang current president ng AKTOR na si Iza Calzado, at ang executive director ng AKTOR na si Joel Saracho.
Pumirma ng memorandum of agreement sina Dingdong at Iza para sa Health and Wellness program ng Unilab, na ang tulay ay ang Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).
Ang kinatawan ng Unilab ay ang Assistant Vice President for Corporate Branding Groups, PRs and Partnerships na si Claire D. Papa, samantalang ang representative ng SPEEd ay ang presidenteng si Tessa Mauricio-Arriola.
DINGDONG DANTES' MESSAGE
Bahagi ng mensahe ni Dingdong, “When we set up AKTOR six years ago, the goal and the vision was very simple.
“And that was just to create a community of empowered actors. Iyun lang talaga iyung gusto namin.
“So sabi, paano ba magiging empowered ang isang aktor? Ano bang klase ang mga miyembro na gusto nating maimbitahan?
“At ano ba yung gusto nating maging resulta ng pagiging miyembro nila sa atin?
“So, sabi namin, we envisioned an empowered actor to be a paragon of professionalism.
“Gusto namin ang isang aktor ay maging isang cultural champion. Ang aming pangarap na aktor ay sana, siya ay isang nation-builder.
“Ang more importantly, ang pangarap namin sa isang aktor na sana, siya ay maging protector of the community.
“So this may sound very complicated and yet alam namin na ito talaga yung gusto naming makamit at mapuntahan.
“Pero in the six years na ginagawa namin ang mga programa namin, sabi namin, paano namin magagawa ang lahat ng iyon kung hindi muna tinututukan ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat.
“At iyon ay ang welfare, ang kalusugan ng aming miyembro.
“Because before we empower the actor, we have to of course empower the person first, di ba?”
Doon pumasok ang focus ng AKTOR-League of Filipino Actors sa kanilang programa para sa welfare and wellness.
Pagpapatuloy ni Dingdong: “Gusto talaga naming unahin yun. Hindi lang sa physical welfare, hindi lang sa physical well-being.
“We also focused on the mental well-being, and also the protection of the actors in their workplace.
“And dito pumapasok iyong kahalagahan ng partnership na ito.
“Kasi as the custodians of this community, minsan iniisip namin, ‘Paano ba ito? Ang hirap ng ginagawa natin.’
“Ahh we are looking for health from different sources, from different organizations. At malapit na naming mabuo iyong ideal program ng wellness na na-envision namin.
“May kulang na lang talaga na isang aspeto. Until one day, tinawagan ako ni Miss Tessa, at sinabi niya na merong isang partnership na posible mangyari through Unilab and SPEEd.
“At sabi ko, ‘Hulog ka talaga ng langit dahil nakumpleto ninyo yung kulang, yung missing piece of the puzzle ng aming wellness program.’
“At that is to provide discounts sa mga maintenance medicine at vitamins, at lahat, kung anuman ang kakailanganin ng aming members…
“Being freelancers, wala po kaming mga employers na magsasabi, ‘You have to undergo tests. You have to take these medicines. You have to be fit to work.’
“Pero sabi ko nga, ayaw namin to be just fit to work. We want to be fit to live…
“Ramdam na ramdam ko talaga, we really have to take care of each other. We really have to take care of one another.
“Maliit lang ang industriya natin. And hopefully, mas lumawak pa itong partnership na ito.
“Hindi lang sa AKTOR kundi sa mas maraming iba pang fields na alam kong nangangailangan din ng ganitong klaseng programa.”
Sa ngayon ay mahigit 400 na ang members ng AKTOR-League of Filipino Actors.

Ginanap ang induction ng bagong officers ng SPEEd noong Pebrero 24, 2026 sa Bayanihan Center.
Ang nag-induct ay sina Dingdong Dantes at Iza Calzado ng AKTOR.
Sa nasabing okasyon ay isiniwalat ni SPEEd President Tessa Mauricio-Arriola na ang tema ng SPEEd para sa 2026 ay “Taking Care of Our Own.”
Noong Mayo 30 sa Max’s Restaurant sa Matalino St., Quezon City, ginanap ang fellowship at outreach gathering ng SPEEd in honor of some of the retired editors and senior members of the entertainment press.

Pagmamatwid ni Tessa: “The press, the actors, and the workers behind the scenes may have different roles but we all belong to the same world.
“That is also why we invited AKTOR Chairman and founding President Dingdong Dantes and AKTOR President Iza Calzado-Wintle to induct us here at Bayanihan Center in February.
“It was not only because of their stature in the industry, but because we knew that AKTOR and SPEEd share the same heart for service.
“And truly in the weeks leading to today, that heart was very clear.
“Dingdong was in fact in Canada in the middle of filming a much-awaited movie when we were finalizing this partnership.
