Facebook post ni Direk Adolf ngayong Hulyo 15, 2026, Miyerkules ng madaling-araw: “Still processing everything, but today I am just overwhelmingly grateful to be alive.
“Yesterday morning, July 14, at around 5:45 AM, I was involved in a terrifying pedestrian accident along Abacan Diversion Road.
“The impact was so strong that I slammed into the windshield, was thrown into the air, and took a hard hit to my right side.
“Facing a near-death experience like that puts absolutely everything into perspective. It is a true miracle that I survived being hit.
“God is our miracle worker and I am thanking Him for giving me a second chance at life.”
Pinost ni Direk Adolf ang Bible verse na Psalm 118:17, “I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done."
Pagpapatuloy ng multi-awarded director: “My main message today is just pure gratitude.
“A huge thank you to everyone who assisted me at the scene and to those who helped handle the police reporting so I could focus on recovering and finish my work yesterday.
“Hug your loved ones a little tighter today. “Life is fragile, unpredictable, and so, so precious.
“Please pray for my swift recovery.

TWENTY YEARS AS A FILMMAKER
Ngayong 2026 ang ika-20 taon ni Direk Adolf bilang movie director.
Ang unang pelikula niya ay ang Cinemalaya 2006 entry na Donsol, na tinampukan nina Sid Lucero at Angel Aquino.
Idinirek niya si National Artist Nora Aunor sa mga pelikulang Kinabukasan, Padre de Familia, Whistleblower, Laro, Kontrabida, Pieta, at Mananambal.
Siya rin ang nagdirek ng tribute film kay Ate Guy na Faney, kung saan tampok sina Laurice Guillen, Gina Alajar, Roderick Paulate, Bembol Roco, Althea Ablan, at Angeli Bayani.
Isa si Direk Adolf sa pinaka-prolific na movie director mula noong 2000.
Kabilang pa sa mga pelikula niya ang Kadin, Nars, Tambolista, Batanes, Daybreak, Adela, Imoral, Manila, Aurora, Romeo at Juliet, D’Survivors, Muli, Chassis, Presa, Isda, Liberation, Haruo, Kalayaan, Mater Dolorosa, at Death March.

Pampanga ang location ng The Blue Hour kung saan tampok sina Paolo Gumabao, Migs Almendras, Eian Rances, at James Lucero.
Ayon kay Direk Adolf, itong The Blue Hour ay parang “kapatid” ng gay indie film na Daybreak (2008) na bida sina Coco Martin at Paolo Rivero.
Naikuwento rin ni Direk Adolf na ngayong Hulyo ang umpisa ng taping ng Kapuso afternoon series na Delivery Boi kung saan bida si Will Ashley, at magkatuwang sila ni Dominic Zapata bilang direktor.
Sa Setyembre naman daw ang showing ng horror movie na Poon (The Hallowed), kung saan kasama sa cast sina Ronaldo Valdez at Jaclyn Jose.

GORGY RULA
Pagkatapos maaksidente si Direk Adolf Alix nung Martes, July 14, ay nag-post siya agad sa kanyang social media account ng litrato ng basag na salamin ng kotse na sinakyan niya.
Nasa caption nito, “Thank you for protecting me Lord! (pray emoji) #SecondLife.”
DIREK ADOLF STILL RECUPERATING
Kaagad akong nag-message sa kanya para kumustahin, pero hindi siya sumagot.
Nang mag post siya uli ngayong Miyerkules, nagpadala uli ako ng mensahe para magpaalam kung puwede siyang tawagan.
Pero mukhang hindi pa siya handang makipag-usap. Ime-message na lang daw niya ako kapag medyo okay na raw siya.
Ibig sabihin, hindi pa ganun ka-okay ang kalagayan niya.
May mga test pa raw na gagawin sa kanya kaya hindi pa niya maidetalye kung ano talaga ang nangyari.

Gusto sana namin malaman kung papunta pa lang ba siya sa trabaho o pauwi na.
Ito kasi ang isa sa iniiwasang mangyari kung hindi naipapatupad ang Eddie Garcia Law.
Kaya may working hours na sinusunod, at iniiwasan ang umagahang taping o shooting dahil kailangang mag-ingat ang lahat.
May naririnig na naman kasi kaming puyatan sa taping, at lumalagpas na sa sinusunod na working hours, para lang makahabol sa airing.
Hindi na umaangal ang mga artista dahil naiintindihan nilang kailangan talagang matapos para hindi na magkaroon ng additional taping days.
Halos lahat na TV production ngayon ay talagang nagtitipid dahil sa bumababang viewership sa telebisyon.
Kawawa rin ang nasa produksiyon, pero kailangan pa ring i-proritize ang kaligtasan ng mga artista, production staff, at lahat na nagtatrabaho sa isang proyekto.

UPDATE: Nag-send ng update o paglilinaw si Direk Adolf Alix Jr. kaugnay sa kinasangkutan niyang vehicular accident matapos niyang mabasa ang report ng PEP Troika.
Pahayag ni Direk Adolf via Messenger, “To clarify po, we are on the set as we have a 4AM call time. We need to shoot a scene before sun rises.
“We were on the highway as we need to shoot the picture vehicles going to their location as per the script.
“It was indeed an accident po.
“I was crossing the street when the car came in.
“Thanks po and hope it can be clarified.
“After I was cleared by the hospital , I decided to go back to the location and we finished the scenes. The safety officer was with me all throughout as I was directing from the wheel chair and everyone on the set was very cooperative.
“Di lang po Ako Sanay to direct from the monitor but safety first. A new experience for me. But it was rewarding after all.
“And we finished before 8PM within the 16 hour period of the Eddie Garcia Law.”
