Ayon sa Facebook page ng Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), ang mga ito ay ang The End of Oak Street, Just Javier, The Devil Beneath, Blue Lock, Dear You, Katseye: Wild Hearts, at Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy.
R-13 ang MTRCB rating ng Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy, samantalang yung anim na iba pa ay pawang PG.
Kapansin-pansin ding apat sa pitong pelikula ay exclusive sa SM Cinema — Blue Lock, Dear You, Katseye: Wild Hearts, at Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy.
Yung Just Javier ay exclusive sa Ayala Malls Cinemas, samantalang yung horror na The Devil Beneath ay exclusive sa Megaworld Cinemas.
Yung The End of Oak Street ay matutunghayan sa iba’t ibang mall chain.
Ngayong Agosto 14, Biyernes, ang opening day ng The End of Oak Street sa North America.
Yung Chinese film na Dear You ay Setyembre 4, 2026 pa ang playdate sa USA.
DEAR YOU
Ayon sa Box Office Mojo, ika-14 ang Dear You sa pinakamalakas na worldwide gross this year with $289.7M.
Sa China pa lang rumatsada ang Dear You noong Abril with $285M.
Naipalabas din ito afterwards sa Australia, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, at New Zealand.
Sa Pilipinas, todo-promote sa pelikulang ito ang Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) sa pangunguna ng kanilang presidente na si G. Victor Lim.
Nag-special screening ang Dear You noong Agosto 5 sa IMAX ng SM Mall of Asia, at noong Agosto 8 sa SM North EDSA, Quezon City.
Ang buod ng Dear You: “Xiaowei travels to Thailand to find his ‘billionaire grandfather’ whom debt problems have kept out of contact, but he unexpectedly finds that the one who has been corresponding with his grandmother for years is not her husband.”
Tampok sa Dear You sina Li Sitong, Wang Yantong, Wu Shaoqing, Zheng Runqi, Wang Xiaohui, at ang Thai actress na si Usha Seamkhum na gumanap bilang lola sa pelikulang How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.

CINEMALAYA 2026
Wala mang bagong Pinoy na nag-open sa ating mga sinehan noong Miyerkules, ongoing hanggang Agosto 18, Martes, ang Cinemalaya 22: Reel Reflections. Ang prime venue ng indie filmfest na ito ay ang apat na sinehan ng Shangri-La Plaza sa Mandaluyong City.
Palabas din ang nine feature-length films and two sets of short films ng Cinemalaya 2026 sa apat na sinehan ng Gateway Mall 2 sa Cubao, Quezon City, maging sa select Ayala Malls (Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Glorietta, Ayala Malls Circuit, Market! Market!, at Trinoma).
Ang ticket prices ng Cinemalaya films ay PHP350 (regular) at PHP250 (student). May 20% discount para sa senior citizens, PWDs, national coaches, at national athletes.
Puwede bang gamitin ang MTRCB deputy card sa pagmo-monitor ng entries ng Cinemalaya 2026?
Noong Agosto 10 pa naglabas ng memorandum ang MTRCB kaugnay rito para sa kaalaman ng CEAP, at cinema/theater owners or operators.
Ayon sa memo na pirmado ni MTRCB Chair and CEO Lala Sotto, “the monitoring duties of MTRCB Deputies are suspended only in theaters exhibiting film premieres, special screenings, and films exhibited during the Metro Manila Film Festival.
“Accordingly, the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2026 does not fall under these categories and is therefore considered as a regular film screening.
“In view of the foregoing, the holders of MTRCB Deputy, Amity, and Legacy Cards are authorized to perform their monitoring duties in accordance with existing MTRCB laws, rules, and regulations.
“Further, the inspection and monitoring functions of the Board and its organic staff, pursuant to Section 13 of Presidential Decree No. 1986, shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be hampered, restricted, or otherwise subjected to any limitation.”

Ipinagmamalaki ng FFCCCII o Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. ang na-achieve nila sa pagdala dito kay Zhang Yingfei o mas kilalang si Linda Walker.
Sa presensya ni Linda Walker, na-promote nila ang isang advocacy nila para sa edukasyon sa mga kabataan — ang kanilang programang Operation: Barrio School.
Nakapag-donate na sila ng mahigit 6,500 public schools sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.
Pinromote din ni Zhang ang ganda ng Pilipinas sa China.
CHINESE FILM FOR PINOYS
Pagkatapos nito ay sinuportahan naman ng FFCCCII ang Chinese film na Dear You.
Bilang mga Tsinoy naman ang karamihang miyembro ng naturang grupo, alam nilang makaka-relate ang mga Pinoy sa pelikulang ito.
Sabi nila sa kanilang press release: “It’s a touching narrative of family, sacrifice, resilience, and hope.
“We believe its message will resonate deeply with Filipinos. As a nation with millions of Overseas Filipino Workers serving in many parts of of the world, we understand the sacrifices, separation, and emotional journeys of families striving to build better live for their loved ones.”
Sa presscon ng FFCCCII kamakailan sa Kamuning Bakery, Quezon City, tinanong namin ang presidente ng naturang grupo, bakit ang isang Chinese film ang sa tingin nilang makakapagbigay ng magandang values sa mga Pinoy.
“This movie is similar to our situation before,” pakli ni G. Victor Lim.
“That’s because of history e,” sabi naman ni William Terence Lim.
Naniniwala silang maraming pagkakatulad ang mga Pinoy at mga Chinese, at mapapanood ito sa Dear You.
“I think it’s better in some aspects in other Hollywood movies. Dito parang pinakita talaga natin yung importance of family e.
“May family culture, respect for their parents, respect for their grandparents, na hindi masyado naka-capture ng mga Hollywood films.
“Hollywood films, it’s all about action, suspense, horror, thriller. But here, it’s parang it’s very close to home e,” dagdag niya.

Noong Agosto 13, Huwebes, ay nag-streaming na sa Netflix ang pelikulang Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon.
Nasa cast nito sina Jodi Sta. Maria, Agot Isidro, Gardo Versoza, Ruby Ruiz, Gabriel Lazaro, RK Bagatsing, Mitch Valdes, Angel Aquino, Floyd Tena, at Joel Saracho.
Ilan sa kanila ay may pelikula rin sa Cinemalaya this year.
Si Agot ay nasa Mag-iina at sa short film na Elenita Elena Elaine.
Si Floyd ay nasa Tirik.
Si Ruby ay bida sa Status: Rejected, at nasa cast ng opening film na Enjoy Your Stay.
Kasama rin sana si Ruby sa closing film na Filipiñana, pero na-edit out ang kanyang eksena.
