“Lutang started from a very simple idea,” lahad ni Thor via Messenger nitong Setyembre 8, Martes.
“Magkausap pa kami sa chat noon ni Van Boys after namin accidentally mag-meet sa skate road ng Siargao island.
“Pero balak na talaga namin gumawa noon ng short film nina Peter at Raven, mga friends ko, kaya unexpected blessing talaga na makilala namin si Van Boys that time.
“We don’t have a big production, malaking budget. We just had this crazy idea, a camera, a perfect location and a group of people who were willing to make it happen.
“For me, Lutang is more than just a short film, because these people trust me leading this project and to be honest I don’t have any film background besides acting.
“That’s why this is a story about friendship at yung moments na parang gusto mo na lang takasan muna yung realidad.
“Kaya bagay din yung Lutang, may feeling siya na you’re somewhere between reality and imagination, between knowing what you want and figuring out where you’re actually going.
“This short film became our way of learning by actually doing it. We figured things out along the way and somehow we ended up creating something we’re genuinely proud of.
“This film is just special for me because most of the people behind it are my friends. “Kaya I hope you guys watch it! We poured our hearts into this one.”

After Pabuya (2022) and Lawa (2023), hindi na gumawa sa VMX si Thor Gomez. Bakit?
“After po ng Pabuya and Lawa, nag-Viva Films na rin po ako. I was part of Baby Boy, Baby Girl, A Glimpse of Forever by Direk Jason Paul Laxamana, and the series Safe Skies, Archer sa Viva One,” tugon ni Thor.
“That time po, binibigyan na rin ako ng opportunity ng VMX na mag-lead, pero I chose to prioritize doing TVC commercials and other projects muna.”
IS THOR GOMEZ STILL WILLING TO DO VMX PROJECTS
Willing ba siyang makipagsabayan ng kapangahasan sa VMX actors?
“If mabibigyan ulit ako ng pagkakataon sa Viva, kaya ko naman pong makipagsabayan,” sagot ni Thor.
“And siguro this time, hindi lang makipagsabayan, gagalingan ko pa at pagbubutihan ko talaga.
“I think mas marami na rin akong natutunan and mas prepared na ako ngayon.”
Si Thor ay anak ng yumaong actor na si Hector Gomez, na kasama sa mga pelikulang Nights of Serafina (1996), Sagad sa Init (1998), Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Iibigin (1998), at Banatan (1999).
Si Raven Molina ay nagpakitang-gilas na noon sa limited series na Mga Batang Poz (2019).

Ang digital creator na si Peter Mendijar ay lumabas sa MMFF 2024 entry na Uninvited starring Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and Nadine Lustre.
Nasa cast din siya ng Puregold CinePanalo 2025 entry na Fleeting na kinunan sa Mati, Davao Oriental, at pinagbidahan nina Janella Salvador at RK Bagatsing.
Tungkol sa paghuhubad sa Lutang, ang sabi ni Peter ay pampatawa lang yon.
“Para ma-curious po ang mga tao,” sey ni Peter.
Yung kuwento ng Lutang ay may bahid ng American comedy film na The Hangover (2009) na nagkaroon ng dalawang sequel.
