Ayon sa Facebook post ng Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), anim na pelikula ang opening sa cinemas nationwide ngayong Setyembre 23, 2026, Miyerkules.
Ang mga ito ay Plump Blossom (G), Forgotten Island (PG), Avengers: Endgame Encore (PG), Heart of the Beast (R-13), Z-Zone (R-13), at Uranus 2324 (R-13).
Sa mga iyan ay yung animated na Plump Blossom lang ang gawang-Pinoy.
Yung animated na Forgotten Island ay American-produced pero tampok ang Filipino talents.
Noong Abril 2019 pa ipinalabas sa mga sinehan ang Avengers: Endgame. Sa encore nito, may preview ng Avengers: Doomsday na sa Disyembre 16 mapapanood sa local cinemas, kasabay ang Dune: Part Three.
Ngayon ding Setyembre 23, Miyerkules, ang umpisa ng 3rd Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival.
Pito ang full-length features dito — Beast, Multwoh: Patay na Patay Sa ‘Yo, Mono No Aware, Patay Gutom, Stuck on You, Wantawsan, Apol of My Ai.
Palabas ang mga ito sa Gateway Cineplex 18, Trinoma, Fairview Terraces, Feliz, Ayala Malls Circuit, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, at Market! Market!.
Ang regular price ng tiket ay PHP250, samantalang ang discounted price ay PHP200 para sa PWD, senior citizens, students, national athletes, at Aling Puring cardholders.
PHILIPPINE FILM INDUSTRY MONTH
Ipinagdiriwang natin ngayong Setyembre ang Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM), sa pangunguna ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Meron pang mapapanood na mga libreng pelikula sa FDCP Cinematheque Centre sa Manila, Iloilo, Davao, at Negros.
Palabas ngayong Setyembre 23, Miyerkules ng 4:30 P.M., sa Cinematheque Centre sa Sta. Lucia St., Intramuros, Manila (katabi ng Baluarte de San Diego) ang Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos.
Bida rito sina Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, at Rafael Roco, Jr. (Bembol Roco), sa direksyon ni Mario O’Hara.
Syinuting ito sa Majayjay, Laguna.
May talkback session pagkatapos ng screening.
Bukas, Setyembre 24, Huwebes, palabas ang Ibong Adarna (2:00 P.M.) at Zamboanga (5:00 P.M., may film talk).
Sa Setyembre 25, Biyernes, palabas ang Tunay na Ina (1:30 P.M.), Giliw Ko (3:45 P.M.), at Pakiusap (6:00 P.M.).

“One of the Philippines’ first AI-assisted animated feature films, PLUMP BLOSSOM brings together traditional filmmaking and AI technology to create a full-length animated musical inspired by the grandeur of China’s Tang Dynasty.

Binigyan ng MTRCB ng G (General Audience) rating ang gawang-Pinoy na Plump Blosson na tungkol sa isang mabait at matapang na prinsesa. Ito ay “suitable for all audiences.”
Tampok dito ang mga boses nina Candice Tan, Don Puno, Gutch Gutierrez, Chad Williams, Yeng Her, at Audie Gemora.
FORGOTTEN ISLAND
Bida rin ang galing ng Pinoy sa Forgotten Island, isang American fantasy adventure animated movie na rated PG (Parental Guidance) ng MTRCB.
Kuwento ito ng dalawang matalik na magkaibigan na naiwan sa Nakali, isang mahiwagang mundo na binubura ang mga alaala ng mga nakatira rito.
Tampok dito ang mga boses nina H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy at Lea Salonga.
Ayon sa MTRCB: “Ito ay may positibong tema ng pagkakaibigan at isinasabuhay ang mitolohiyang Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng ‘vibrant animation,’ habang ipinapakita ang aspeto ng pang-araw-araw na buhay, kultura at tradisyon ng mga Pilipino.
“Kailangan ng patnubay ng magulang para sa mild fantasy violence at ilang nakakatakot na eksena nito.”
Facebook post ni Direk Jose Javier Reyes: “So who would have thought that an animated feature starring H.E.R. and Liza Soberrano about two teen-age girls falling into a portal that brings them to an island populated by the creatures of the underworld of Filipino folklore ... should unravel to the world the culture that has long sought to be recognized and can no longer be ignored. (Whew!)

Nanguna sa takilya ng North America noong nakaraang weekend, Setyembre 18-20, 2026, ang bagong bukas na Resident Evil.
Ayon sa Box Office Mojo, ang opening weekend gross nito sa US at Canada ay $60M.
Worldwide, humamig na agad ito ng $114M. Paldo!
Kasabay ng Resident Evil na nag-open sa local cinemas noong nakaraang Miyerkules ang EDJOP ni Elijah Canlas, pati yung documentary na 58th, Runner, Run Baby Run, at The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie-Yotsuba Succession Arc.
Sa Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong City lang ipinalabas ang 58th, na eligible sa kategoryang best documentary ng 99th Academy Awards o Oscars.

CINEPANALO FILM FESTIVAL
Sa pitong full-length films ng CinePanalo 2026, nagbando ang Multwoh: Patay na Patay Sa ‘Yo na sold-out ang kanilang public viewing sa Trinoma (September 23, Wednesday, 5:30 P.M.) at Ayala Malls Feliz (September 26, Sunday, 5:30 P.M.).
Buhay na buhay sa takilya ang pelikula nina Sassa Gurl at Joao Constancia, sa direksiyon ni Rodina Singh.
Si Rodina rin ang direktor ng Dreamboi na topgrosser sa inaugural CineSilip filmfest last October, at humakot ng walong tropeyo sa awards night.
