Pahayag ng LSB director na si Paolo Dy sa mediacon noong Oktubre 29, 2026 sa Cabalen restaurant, West Ave., Quezon City: “I love that there seems to be a surge in interest in cinema again sa Pilipinas.
“It’s a really good sign. I hope na that means, ahhmm not just that people will come to watch yung mga foreign films but iyong MMFF magiging napaka-successful din na year for MMFF and for all the films, no.
“Kasi siyempre we want a healthy cinema industry. We want a healthy batch of stories coming in every year na hindi lang paulit-ulit.
“We want very new stories, very different stories, and stories that we find in history. Stories we find in our experiences.
“So sana nga, sana nga, it means good things for the industry.”
Bida sa historical film na Los Salvajes Bravos sina Romnick Sarmenta at Ruru Madrid.

THE TASTE OF THE FILIPINO AUDIENCE
Susog ni Ruru sa sinabi ni Direk Paolo: “Siguro kasi nagbabago na rin po yung audiences right now, especially the Filipino audience.
“Kasi nga we’re exposed sa maraming bagay.
“But right now it’s easy.
“So pinapanood po nila kung ano po yung mga dapat panoorin, like for example in the case of 2 Valid IDs, yung Pee Mak, yung Always Yours, Never Mine.
