Among them is the Filipino-British fashion influencer Kim Jones.
At 36, this digital creative has demonstrated a caliber that extends beyond the runway.

KIM JONES: EARLY LIFE
Kim was born Kimberly Camilla Jones in the United Kingdom on August 4, 1987, to a British father and Filipino mother.
From the U.K., Kim grew up in Australia until she moved to the Philippines in December 2010 at the age of 23.
At the urging of her brother, Apollo Jones, she made the life-altering decision to embark on a creative journey in the Philippines.
Securing a temporary financial cushion before committing to her new path, she returned to Australia to sell her car, then booked a one-way ticket back to Manila.
KIM JONES EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
While interacting with her followers via a question-and-answer session on her Instagram broadcast channel on December 7, 2023, Kim talked about her educational history.
She disclosed, "I dropped out. I like to learn at my own pace and without limits."
While taking up architecture, she realized a misalignment between her learnnig style and a curriculum-based education.
Elaborating on her choice of architecture, she shared, "I studied architecture because I like the scale, permanence, and utility of it. But the Gemini rising in me said a hard no to curriculums."
Despite diverging from the traditional academic path, Kim expressed her continued fascination with the subject.
In a separate response, she highlighted Rococo as her favorite type of architecture.
Rococo, according to Merriam-Webster dictionary, is an "artistic style especially of the 18th century characterized by fanciful curved asymmetrical forms and elaborate ornamentation."

KIM JONES CAREER
Modelling
Standing at a height of 170 cm (5 feet, 7 inches) with sharp facial features, Kim already showed promise in the scene of modeling.
But, it took the encouragement of her brother Apollo, who already did modeling jobs in the Philippines, for her to try her luck in the industry.
Recounting her first commercial gig in a feature story on Fashionista.com, Kim related how she spent 20 hours on the shoot and got a talent fee of USD30.00, only for her part to be edited out in the final cut.
Instead of sulking over it, Kim developed a liking to the craft, shaping her commitment to the world of fashion in the years to follow.
BLOGGING AND HOSTING
While maintaining a fashion blog website, Kim also landed a hosting job that lasted for three years.
From 2011 to 2014, she co-hosted ETC's magazine show Etcetera alongside Mari Jasmine, which showcases fashion finds, fashion-related events, and the people in the local fashion industry.
FILMMAKING
Fast-forward to the present, Kim has broadened her professional portfolio, evolving into a filmmaker, entrepreneur, and all-around creative.
Among the international major brands she collaborated with are Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Bottega Veneta.

Kim found love in the arms of Filipino actor, Jericho "Echo" Rosales.
After entering into a relationship in October 2011, the couple got engaged in August 2013.
On May 1, 2014, the couple embraced marital bliss on the breathtaking island of Boracay, exchanging vows in a ceremony adorned with the theme of beach and surfing.
Yet, like any tale, their story faced challenges.
In September 2022, rumors of a breakup surfaced on social media, which was squashed after their sweet exchange on Jericho's 43rd birthday.
With rumors persisting until mid-2023, Jericho expressed his thoughts to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the opening of a Kuya J's Restaurant branch in Eastwood.
He said: "People are entitled to think what they think. I mean, ano ang gagawin ko? Tatawa lang ako.
"But it's okay, people are entitled to their own opinion, I'm really not that type of person na I really have to explain myself to anyone.
"What you see is what you get. As long as Iive in peace, in love and respect, yun na ang importante sa akin."

On January 29, 2023, a source close to the the couple confirmed their breakup.
Their "amicable separation" happened in 2019, and it's a "mutual decision."
