With the theme "Cinesthesia: Synergy of the Senses," the 9th edition of Cinemalaya will take place from July 26-August 4, 2013. The entries will be screened at the Cultural Center of the Philippines as well as select cinemas in Trinoma, Greenbelt 3 and Alabang Town Center.
Twenty-five new indie films are competing this year: 10 in the New Breed category, 5 in the Directors Showcase, and 10 in the short film category. Vilma Santos and Gretchen Barretto will make their first Cinemalaya appearance in this year's edition.
