Kantar Media-TNS Total Philippines Household Ratings (March 29-April 4, 2014): Moon of Desire consistently beats Villa Quintana

ABS-CBN’s newest afternoon soap opera, Moon of Desire, has been consistently beating its rival GMA-7 show, Villa Quintana.

This is according to data based on the overnight ratings of Kantar Media/TNS among Total Philippines (Urban & Rural) from March 29 to April 4, 2014.

Starring Meg Imperial, Ellen Adarna, and JC de Vera, Moon of Desire is about a young woman afflicted with hypertrichosis (having excessive growth of hair all over body). During its pilot episode last March 31, Moon of Desire was able to get a rating of 16.6% while the Elmo Magalona-Janine Gutierrez starrer, Villa Quintana, got 9.7%. From March 31 until April 4, Moon of Desire outperformed its rival show by a large margin.

In the daytime block, the Kapamilya Network continues to lead with its staple top-raters It's Showtime, The Singing Bee and Be Careful With My Heart.

A reintroduced show is also adding to ABS-CBN's strong daytime line-up: Meteor Garden, the Taiwanese show that conquered Philippine television years ago.

Viewers showed strong support for the show starring the F4, which started airing last March 31. In fact, it became the No. 1 most-watched daytime show on April 3.

ABS-CBN is also the winner during weekdays. Dyesebel, which stars Anne Curtis, is the most-watched show on weekday daytime, as well as for the whole day.

Also in the top daily rankings are the primetime news telecast TV Patrol and other Kapamilya teleseryes Ikaw Lamang and The Legal Wife.

As for the weekend block, the grand birthday celebration of comedian Vice Ganda on Gandang Gabi Vice emerged as the most-watched show on Sunday, March 30. Vice Ganda celebrated his 38th birthday on the Kapamilya talk show's special episode, which featured the comedian's mother and brother baring his well-kept secrets.

The particular episode earned 23.9% rating, beating all evening and daytime shows on the same day.

The runner-up is Rated K, another Kapamilya show, with 23.4%.

Next was Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho from GMA-7, with 21.9%.
