Beauty and The Bestie claims No. 1 spot as MMFF 2015 entries gross P915 million

Star Cinema claims Beauty and the Bestie is now No. 1 among the entries of the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival.

This was revealed by Star Cinema Adprom director Roxy Liquigan through his social media accounts.

The ABS-CBN executive posted: "NUMBER 1! #BeautyAndTheBestie !!!" as well as "#BeautyAndTheBestieNo1"

Vice Ganda is one of the lead stars of this comedy film along with Coco Martin, James Reid, and Nadine Lustre.

In his official Twitter account, Vice Ganda posted on January 1: "300Million THANKS to you Madlang People for making us number 1 in your hearts. #BeautyAndTheBestieSecondWeek"

During the December 25 opening day of MMFF 2015, My Bebe Love was the leader in the box-office.

The comedy movie--starring Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Alden Richards, and Maine Mendoza--continued to top in the box-office during the next few days.

My Bebe Love almost reached the P300 million mark last January 2, 2016.

This figure was revealed by GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar to the Kapuso primetime telecast 24 Oras.

Based on the MMFF 2015 Executive Committee, the combined box-office figures of all eight entries have already reached P915 million as of January 3, 2016.

The MMFF Exe Comm maintains that the Top 4 highest-grossing films at the box-office are still (in no particular order) My Bebe Love, Beauty and the Bestie, Haunted Mansion, and Walang Foreverâ?¬. 

The other competing entries are (in alphabetical order) All You Need is Pag-ibig; Buy Now, Die Later; Honor Thy Father; and Nilalang.
