Star Cinema's AdProm director Roxy Liquigan later confirmed that the 31-year-old K-pop idol will be judging a talent search on the Kapamilya network.

The airing date of Pinoy Boyband Superstar has yet to be announced.

Dara's last visit to the Philippines was back in April for her endorsement deal with a clothing brand.

In a previous interview, the Korean pop star expressed her desire to work with Vice Ganda in a project.

She told the press, "A, gusto ko si Vice Ganda. “Gusto ko gumawa kami ng comedy movie, di ba? Bagay kami! Krung-krung din siya, e."

Dara also wished to be a judge on a talent competition since this is how she started her showbiz career. It will be recalled that she emerged as the runner-up in Star Circle Quest, which aired in 2004.

She explained, "Kasi, di ba, dati sa Star Circle Quest, contestant ako? Pero ngayon matanda na ako, so gusto ko maging judge. Pero, this time, pag maging judge ako, ang sasabihin ko, ‘You’re in!’ Sa lahat ng contestant, ‘You’re in!’"

Currently, Dara is preparing for the release of her movie One Step this September.

She is also gearing up for 2NE1's comeback in the K-pop scene. YG Entertainment, 2NE1's record label and talent agency, announced that the group will release a new song this summer in Korea after Minzy's departure from the group.
