Ellie Eigenmann is growing back her long hair this 2020.
The daughter of Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito mentioned this on her private Instagram profile.
Andi posted a screenshot of this post because the actress loved what Ellie had to say to a follower in the comments section.
The follower commented, "But I love your short hair!"
The eight-year-old kid simply replied, "[Too] bad."
Sharing the brief exchange in an Instagram story, the celebrity mom said, "My daughter's sass [laughing emoji] check out the dates too! Better late than never [laughing emoji]"
Ellie's post was dated January 1, 2020.
Her follower replied on the same day.
Ellie only replied yesterday, June 8, a good six months after the comment was posted.
Ellie has maintained her hair at many different lengths through the years.
She kept her hair long for quite a while, which prompted dad Jake to say she got "too attached to her golden locks for a bit too long."
She finally had it cut in 2017.
In 2019, Ellie sported an even shorter haircut.
At the time, showbiz fans had a lot to say about it.
Some even felt it was "a waste," and went as far as speculating on the child's "gender identity."
Andi then had to address these comments by reminding everyone that beauty doesn't depend on one's hairstyle.
The Siargao-based actress said in an Instagram post in March 2019: "My daughter STILL IS beautiful, and no matter how much she will change through time, she always will be.
"Because it was never her long hair that made her look good.
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, yes. But it saddens me how people (specially other women) are making me feel like Ellie cannot feel or be beautiful just because of her hair.
"I am trying to raise a child that is comfortable in her own skin.
"That is confident in being true to who she is, regardless of what others may think."
With Ellie's reply to her Instagram follower, it sounds like she is honing her self-confidence just fine.
Ellie is currently living with her dad Jake in Manila.
Andi is in Siargao with her partner Philmar Alipayo and their daughter Lilo.
