Bianca Gonzalez has gotten downright candid about her acne troubles when she posted on Instagram an unfiltered photo of herself sans makeup, pimple marks and all.
In her caption, the ABS-CBN talent wrote, "No filter. Obviously [three laughing emoji]. I know this might raise eyebrows or make some people say 'yuck' but I shared a picture of my skin breakout a few days ago on Stories and got overwhelming messages from so many of you."
In her posts, Bianca has been telling her followers that acne isn't exactly the most pressing issue in today's situation.
Addressing "anyone suffering from acne," she assured, "Know that you are not alone."
The social-media personality reiterated, "Again, yes, napakaraming mas malaking problema, but I feel you na nakakababa talaga ng self-esteem kapag nag-breakout, lalo at madalas sa WFH [work from home], mukha talaga natin ang nakikita ng iba."
She acknowledged that finding the right skin-care products for acne problem might be extra tough, especially with the pandemic limiting going out on unnecessary errands.
Bianca wrote, "As a short back story, I tried a retinol cream at yun pala, hindi ako hiyang. I consulted my doctor and she helped me with it.
"This whole quarantine I have not gone to the derma (kasi afraid #pandemic), I have just stuck to my personal no-fail few skin care steps...
"Kaso nung nag-try ako ng bago, ayun, nalagot."
Bianca then assured her followers again that it's okay to feel down about their skin breakouts.
"So, to anyone suffering from acne, don't think 'you're not supposed to feel bad' about such a 'small' problem. Your feelings are valid!
"Consult a derma if you can sa Telemedicine apps. And know na hindi ka nag-iisa."

In her Instagram Stories, Bianca shared some posts from her followers who opened up to her about their acne troubles.
One follower revealed having "cystic acne," which is much harder to treat, and how it was the only thing people saw in her face.
She then concluded, "Patience is key. Walang milagro. Skin care is self-care."
Bianca, who had cystic acne as well, added, "I learned to take it as part of life na din."

Another fan showed Bianca how bad her acne got early in the quarantine.
The TV host wrote she appreciated the "vulnerability."

A netizen reposted Bianca's Instagram post in her Instagram Stories. She lauded the celebrity mom for giving the "#realtalk" about acne.
Bianca thanked the netizen for the shout-out and added in her own story: "Nakakatakot magpost ng ganito but I really wish ma-normalize to post 'flaws.'"
Bianca has always advocated staying "real" on social media, most especially in the context of being a mother.
Hence, anything goes in Bianca posts as she continues to share stories about her personal struggles and insecurities.
