Fresh from winning the Miss Snow Caps Radiance title, Binibining Pilipinas 2026 candidate Gwendoline Soriano was refreshingly honest about the work that goes into looking pageant-ready.
Nothing is off-limits as the 27-year-old beauty queen shared the secrets behind her glow—the skin-care struggles she faces and the habits that keep her feeling confident despite a demanding schedule.
She was named Miss Snow Caps Radiance during Snow Caps' wellness-themed event on May 19, 2026, officially becoming the first recipient of the special title as the brand partners with Binibining Pilipinas as its first glutathione supplement sponsor.
HER EXPERIENCE WITH GLUTATHIONE INJECTIONS
Glutathione is nothing new to Gwendoline,
Before trying the supplement, she had already undergone glutathione injections.
"But orally, I've never tried it," she said.
"I'm still kind of using it and having it regularly, and it also has the same effects.
"It's just that it's more high maintenance and more expensive.
"Unlike, of course, the supplements, it really helps that we get to just take a pill every single day.
"Maybe twice or thrice kasi, doktora said that you can take it three times a day.
"So, I'm very excited kasi I get to feel more of the effects now that it's very convenient."
Beyond beauty benefits, Gwendoline also associated glutathione with overall wellness.
"I feel like it helped boost my immune system also.
"With all the events, activities, I really wanna take care of my health and to lessen all the negative effects of it. So, I think it helps."

HER LOW-MAINTENANCE SKIN-CARE ROUTINE
When asked about her skin-care routine, she answered, "Medyo low maintenance po ako."
During the day, she uses cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and toner when needed.
At night, however, her routine becomes a bit more extensive due to the amount of makeup she wears for pageant activities.
"I'm the type of person na hindi talaga ako matutulog hangga't may nakikita akong make-up sa face ko."
Her routine starts with either a cleansing oil or cleansing balm, followed by micellar water and facial cleanser.
After cleansing, she applies toner, moisturizer, and serum.
According to Gwendoline, consistency matters far more than having a complicated routine.
"It isn't about how many products you use. It's really about maintaining a clean and hygienic face," she says.
Hence, she never skips skin care before going to bed: "I really don't skip!"
Even after long days and late nights, she makes sure every trace of make-up is removed.
"It's important. Never sleep with make-up on."
Like many women, however, Gwendoline still experiences breakouts despite taking care of her skin.
"Of course, again, we're human. I still get acnes. I have active acnes now."
She explained that most of her breakouts are hormonal: "This is mostly because of my hormones, hormonal acne.
"Like right now, medyo menstrual phase ko, so I have these all things.
"But again, kahit na meron iyan, important talaga na nag-ki-cleanse tayo ng face."
If there is one area of self-care which still has room for improvement, it is sleep.
"Medyo guilty ako diyan."
The beauty queen says she does not always get the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep each night.
"Sometimes five hours, six hours."
Still, she tries to make up for it whenever her schedule allows.
"If we have free time, we're not that busy, bumabawi ako sa sleep."
HER FAVORITE BEAUTY TREATMENTS
While Gwendoline strongly believes beauty starts from within, she also understands the importance of taking care of herself physically.
After all, Binibining Pilipinas candidates spend long days attending events, rehearsals, shoots, and activities while wearing make-up almost daily.
Among her favorite beauty treatments is Hydrafacial.
"For hydration," she explains.
"Because of the heat, because of too much make-up. Every day, we put make-up on our face.
"So, it's really important that regularly we also have the Hydrafacial just for hydration."
Aside from facials, Gwendoline said she also prioritizes supplements and wellness treatments.
Among the products she has recently started using is Snow Caps.
"We tried it because they gave us in our welcome kit in Binibini."
Although she had been taking the supplement for only about a week at the time of the interview, she said she was already seeing some changes.
"What I've noticed is that I get to sleep better. Maybe it's because of the antioxidants, and I get to maybe glow more because of the product."
HER DEFINITION OF TRUE RADIANCE
Meanwhile, speaking exclusively with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) moments after her win, Gwendoline exclaimed: "I'm so happy. Earlier I was in awe. I was still processing when they announced my name, and I'm just so grateful for everyone who's here."
According to her, the title reflected her personal definition of true radiance, which is "found within the strength and goodness of our heart."
She added: "And I really hope that today in our event, I get to radiate that, and I get to connect to people.
"I get to show them how I show up with confidence and with heart always."

As the interview progressed, one thing became clear: when Gwendoline talked about beauty, she rarely started with physical appearance.
Instead, she repeatedly returned to confidence, authenticity, and self-acceptance.
"Beauty for me isn't just seen in the physical aspect.
"Whenever I interact with people, whenever I see people, what I connect most with is how they present themselves.
"How confident they are in themselves, how I feel that they are authentic, how I can feel that they're embracing their imperfections.
"It really makes you beautiful.
"We're imperfect people. And it's really about how confident you are.
"It only shows how secure you are in the inside and that you're not pleasing anyone aside from your Creator."
The Binibining Pilipinas candidate also related how she has become increasingly discerning about the people she surrounds herself with.
"I'm very particular when it comes to connecting with people. So, I really appreciate those who are confident with themselves."

BEAUTY GOALS AT 27
Gwendoline's perspective on beauty has changed over the years.
"Now that I've grown more mature in age, beauty for me isn't just seen in the physical aspect."
Rather than focusing solely on physical attributes, she said beauty is reflected in the way people carry themselves and embrace both their strengths and imperfections.
When asked about her current beauty goals, Gwendoline laughed before offering a surprisingly simple answer.
"Maybe to maintain lang looking young."
But she quickly clarified that she was referring to more than just youthful skin: "The youthful-looking skin and the aura. It's really the radiance."
For Gwendoline, preserving that glow begins from within.
"You can look young on the outside, but if you're very negative, if you're always angry, if you're always irritable, it will also show.
"It will make your face look old.
"So, maintaining that positive aura, maybe that's it.
"That's the goal."
