Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada's emotions were running high while reciting their vows for each other on their wedding day.
In a vlog post on YouTube, January 16, 2021, Saturday, Alex and Mikee revealed they tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in November 2020.
The couple's intimate wedding ceremony was held at the Gonzaga family home in Taytay, Rizal.
In their vlog, Alex and Mikee shared snippets of their wedding vows.
Alex gave thanks that Mikee came into her life when she was crestfallen.
She told her now-husband, "When I met you, I was used to people always seeing the bad side of me.
"But when you came into my life, every day, you keep on making me feel that I'm a prized possession.
"It made me feel like I'm a winner just being me. Little by little, I'm finding peace within myself."
A well-known comedienne, Alex's wedding vows would not be complete without humor.
She made her guests laugh when she told Mikee, "Tonight is the night when two become one. Sana naka-prepare ka kasi talagang magkakalumpuhan tonight."
Turning more serious, Alex once more expressed her gratitutude for having found the right man at the right time.
She said, "But in all honesty, I praise God and I thank Jesus for you because you made a little girl's dream come true."
For his part, Mikee vowed to always love and protect his wife.
He told Alex, "Haping-happy ako na ikaw ang binigay sa akin ni Lord. And I promise to take care of you gaya nung una kitang tinanong.
"I promise to take care of you always and to protect you. I love you..."
Towards the end of their vlog, the couple told their guests there would be a bigger wedding in 2021.
Mikee said, "So next year, pag matuloy na yung big wedding, by God's grace. Salamat kasi secure na ang lahat."
Alex added, "Ginawa namin ito dahil gusto irespeto ni Mikee yung parents ko, yung parents niya. I'm very happy also that we did that.
"And we will see you all next year, by God's grace, in a bigger wedding. We will celebrate."
Alex and Mikee's wedding was attended by their closest family members and friend led by her parents, Bonoy and Pinty Gonzaga, and his parents, Virgilio Morada and Chikie Tantoco.
Alex's sister Toni Gonzaga served as her matron of honor. Her best friend, Fifth Solomon, was also present.
Alex and Mikee officially became a couple in November 2016. They were introduced to each other by the Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual.
In December 2019, the couple got engaged.
Alex and Mikee were to get married in October 2020, but it was postponed when they both tested positive for COVID-19.
