Arlene Muhlach proves it's never too late to achieve one's dreams.
At 55, Arlene has just earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Philippine Women’s University.
The actress posts about her inspiring achievement on Instagram on Monday, September 2, 2024, with two photos attached.
One is her graduation picture, the other was taken during her graduation ceremony.
In the caption, she reflects on her educational journey, recalling how she had to pause her studies during her third year of college.
Arlene writes, published as is: "I stopped my college studies in my third year many years ago when work was offered to me. Then my family came, and my priorities changed.
"Proving that it is never too late to fulfill a longstanding goal, I now have a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Philippine Women’s University @mypwu_official."
Arlene expresses gratitude to everyone who played a part in her journey, including her professors, her husband Warren Dandoy, and her children, Aliyah and Augusto.
Arlene says, "I’m thankful to all my professors and blockmates (i had so many questions! Hahaha!!) in the ETEEAP program for their faith in me and my abilities.
"Special mention to Prof. #Gentica for allowing me to experience campus life for a few hours after so long!
"Thank you to my husband @warrendandoy and children @aliyah.dandoy @augustomuhlachd who boosted my morale when i was ready to give up.
"To my officemates at the IRS in the Commission on Appointments who were patient in helping me pursue this dream, you are appreciated.
"Age is just a number, determination and passion are what truly matters."
