Trans dad Jesi Corcuera is no stranger to rewriting the rules.
Last December, he took the boldest leap of faith yet—carrying and giving birth to his own child.
Now, seven months later, he’s marking another milestone: the baptism of Baby Calia Elle.
The ceremony, held on a calm Sunday, July 13, 2025, was intimate, with a familiar face in the room: veteran talent manager Rams David, whom the couple has chosen to be a godparent of their baby girl.
“Ninong Sunday,” Rams captioned a carousel of photos on Instagram, beaming about the well-behaved Calia and calling Jesi his new “kumpare."

JESI CORCUERA'S PREGNANCY
For Jesi and his partner, Camille “Cams” Corcuera, this chapter has been years in the making.
Jesi first cracked open the story back in October 2024, publicly announcing his pregnancy.
It had taken three years of hopes, hurdles, and hard conversations to get that point.
“Sa lahat ng gagawan ko ng caption, ito na yata yung pinaka-nahirapan ako,” Jesi admitted then.
“Alam ko mahihirapan din kayong intindihin kung paano ito nangyari.”
He had considered IVF but shelved the idea due to the cost. Eventually, he chose to carry the child himself through artificial insemination.
But Jesi, ever steady, stood tall in the face of raised eyebrows.
“Simple lang naman ang gusto ko,” he said plainly, “yung magkaroon ng matatawag kong sariling akin."

That yearning didn’t stem from a sense of lack—Jesi and Cams were already raising children together
But this time, he wanted to experience parenthood from the very first heartbeat. So, he made it happen.
“Alam kong may mga anak akong inako kay Cams at walang mababago dun sa pagdating ni ‘Ninja‘ (nickname ng baby ko Hahaha).
“Sa lahat ng desisyon ko sa buhay, malaki ang naging parte ng mga bata at ni Cams sa kung ano ako ngayon.”
Fast forward to December 11, 2024: talk show host Boy Abunda broke the news on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, confirming that Jesi and Cams had welcomed a baby girl via caesarean section.
Jesi, who has a heart condition, had planned for a C-section early on.
“We did an interview a couple of months ago with Jesi Corcuera at siya ay nagsilang na po ng baby girl,” said Boy during the opening segment of his talk show.
He added, “Congratulations!”
During Jesi's appearance on the show, he discussed his pregnancy journey.
The StarStruck alumna revealed in a separate interview with Lhar Santiago for 24 Oras that the donor—with whom they still keep in touch—is a foreigner based in the Philippines.
Will their daughter meet him someday?
Pag-amin ni Jesi, "Hindi ko pa siya naisip ngayon. Parang, more on gusto ko munang mag-focus sa aming dalawa, sa amin ng family namin ni Camille. So dun muna siguro.
“Pero kung kukuwestiyunin niya in the future, willing naman akong ipakita sa kanya and i-explain sa kanya kung paano yung naging proseso, kasi mas maganda pa rin na alam niya.”
