This 2017, these celebrities received the biggest (and definitely most meaningful) role to date: becoming a mom!
After witnessing their journeys as soon-to-be moms, they also gave us glimpses of their new lives as a parent.
DREAM FULFILLED. It was Vic Sotto who made the announcement on the noontime show Eat Bulaga! last May 6 that he and his wife Pauleen Luna were expecting their first child.
Since then, Pauleen fully welcomed her the new chapter in life as she considers it one of her biggest dreams to become a mother.
She documented her pregnancy journey through the hashtag #JourneytoMamahood.
Then, on November 6, Pauleen delivered her baby daughter, Talitha Maria.
Pauleen called Baby Tali as their “new source of joy!”
For singer and new mom Maya, the feeling of finally having her own family continues to overwhelm her each day.
Whenever she would see her partner Geoff Eigenmann and their little daughter Arabella Simone, Maya would be filled with gratitude.
In a post, the singer wrote, “I still remember the days I prayed for what I have right now.
“I love you both so much!”
Arabella Simone was born on September 23.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. New celeb mom Nikki Gil quickly fell in love when she held her son Finn for the very first time.
She revealed her pregnancy by posting a clear photo of her growing belly last July 15.
Four months later, Nikki and her husband BJ Albert met their baby boy.
In her first photo of Finn, the new mama gushed, “Bear moms, I get it now…
“Hello my darling Finn! I still can’t believe you’re mine!
“Thank you God for this beautiful, beautiful gift!”
Meanwhile, Queenie Padilla cried happy tears when she gave birth to her daughter Mustahsina Mikailah Mir on July 25.
While the eldest daughter of Robin Padilla with Liezl Sicango initially hoped for a boy, she immediately “realized how wrong” she was to ask for anything else.
Queenie wrote in her Instagram post, “I wouldn’t want anything in the world but you… my princess.
Queenie chose to not show her daughter’s face on social media as her baby’s “privacy and protection means the world to me.”
BABY GLOW. Motherhood made these new mamas look even more beautiful.
First-time moms Regine Angeles and Bangs Garcia proved that there’s no shame in wanting to look pretty even during labor.
When Regine delivered her baby boy Viktor Alesso on October 2, the model still had her kilay on fleek!
Same with Bangs Garcia, who still looked fresh after giving birth to her daughter Amelia last December 5.
Other pretty moms on the list include Erika Padilla who welcomed her son, Greyson Jet, on September 15.
Michelle Madrigal gave birth to Anika on October 21 (Philippine time) in Austin, Texas, U.S.
TOUGH MAMA. Former commercial model-turned-actress Karen delos Reyes was an “astig na buntis."
Karen was on her own when she was pregnant.
She wrote in an Instagram post, “Even though I was alone at home from 6th month 'til later part of 9th month (walang kasambahay).
“I cleaned the house, fed the dogs, cooked for myself (learned to cook delicious healthy food infairness. Queber kung pan seared garlic lamb chops yan with pumpkin soup and veggies on the side every other day), slept 8 hours, went to where ever I wanted (salon, malls, friends house, restaurants)
“Yup! Na-enjoy ko [maging pregnant!]
“I was so emotional nung pregnant ako. Grabe!”
On October 26, Karen welcomed her bundle of joy, little Gabriel Lucas.
South Korean actress Kim Tae Hee and K-Pop superstar Rain welcome a baby girl.
Ten months after their intimate wedding, Kim Tae Hee and Rain happily announced that they were parents.
Rain took to Instagram to reveal the big news.
