Leave it to Luis Manzano to pull a prank on Alex Gonzaga, who is celebrating her 31st birthday today, January 16.
The Kapamily host greets Alex with this Instagram post showing a photo from her 2014 teleserye Pure Love, photoshopped with a blue sky backdrop and doves flying around her.
Luis Manzano's IG greeting reads: "It is with great joy we announce the 31st birthday of Alex Gonzaga.
"Her family and friends wish to thank everyone for their love and support during this special day."
A number of celebrities have reacted to Luis's birthday post with a bunch of laughing out loud emoji.
ALEX'S REACTION
The birthday girl's candid reaction has so far generated 5,320 likes.
Her comment reads: "Para kong namatay hayop ka!!!!"
Luis replies, "my birthday na nakalagay diba??? Diba??? [crying emoji]."
Meanwhile, Luis's girlfriend Jessy Mendiola gives a heartfelt birthday message.
She writes, "Happy birthday Cathy [Alex's real name]! Alam kong napakasama ni Luis sayo pero maraming salamat sa pagpapasaya sa kanya sa mga kalokohan niyo! [orange heart emoji] Tandaan mo mahal ka namin. [Hugging emoji]"
FUN KIND OF FRIENDSHIP
Back in October 2018, Alex and Luis spoke to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about their one-of-a-kind friendship.
Luis said, "She is one of my favorite people in this planet.
"Kahit na yung asaran namin, ang dami ko rin nasi-share sa kanya about me in general."
Alex shared the same sentiment.
She added, "I wasn’t blessed to have a brother, so si Kuya Luis ang ibinigay sa akin ni Lord—or ni satan siguro.
"I'm very happy na yung friendship namin is beyond showbiz.
"Kasi naging friends na tayo even before pa tayo nagkatrabaho."
