PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spotted several candidates that dazzled in their Filipino-made gowns.
MISS PHILIPPINES IN FRANCIS LIBIRAN
Francis Libiran created a dramatic asymmetrical red gown for our very own Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
The dress was obviously made to make an impact because from any angle, it underlined Bea's toned physique.
The cut-out and thigh-high slit also showed how comfortable Bea is in her own skin.
MISS SOUTH AFRICA in ezra santos
Dubai-based designer Ezra Santos came up with a smashing all-white evening gown for Miss Africa Lalela Mswane.
The body-hugging gown flaunted her svelte figure, making her look like a Barbie doll.
MISS THE BAHAMAS in garimon escandor roferos
Dubai-based designer Garimon Escandor Roferos made a gold and silver venus-cut creation for Chantel O'Brian.
The diagonal slashes of sparkles in her gown seemed to dance as she made her long strides on stage.
It was also quite a vision seeing the gentle swish of the sheer gown.
MISS UKRAINE in ryan pacioles
Dubai-based designer Ryan Pacioles created a sparkling gold gown for Miss Ukraine Anna Neplyakh.
The sheer cape with minimal gold accents gave Anna a queenly look.
MISS KENYA in JIAN LASALA
Jian Lasala designed a metallic gown that perfectly emphasized the small waist and curvy hips of Miss Kenya Roshanara Ebrahim.
MISS USA IN MICHAEL CINCO
Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco is behind Miss USA Elle Smith's remarkable evening-gown performance.
The off-shouldered asymmetrical dress with a big flower-like sleeve on the right made her totally eye-catching.
MISS MAURITIUS IN CARL ANDRADA
Miss Mauritius Anne Murielle Ravina sashayed on stage wearing a creation by Los Angeles-based Filipino costume and fashion designer Carl Andrada.
MISS GREAT BRITAIN IN LOUIS PANGILINAN
Three Miss Universe 2021 candidates wore creations by Laguna-based fashion designer Louis Pangilinan at the preliminary evening gown competition.
Miss Great Britain Emma Collingridge wore the designer's silver masterpiece. Emma looked stunning in her gown which featured a thigh-high slit and crystal-embellished bodice.
MISS MALTA IN LOUIS PANGILINAN
Jade Cini of Malta was glittering Louis Pangilinan creation during the 70th Miss Universe preliminary competition held on Friday night. The one-shoulder gown was fully hand-embroidered with beads and sequins.
MISS HONDURAS IN LOUIS PANGILINAN
Rose Meléndez, who was representing Honduras in the 70th Miss Universe, is a golden girl during the evening gown competition of the Miss Universe 2021 preliminaries.
The form-fitting gown was fully hand-embellished with beads, crystals, and sequins, which were patterned to represent her roots being a multi-cultural woman from the Garifuna people.
