Ogie Alcasid successfully surprised his wife Regine Velasquez with a brand-new Dior bag for Christmas.
On Monday, December 26, 2022, Ogie uploaded a video on Instagram to show his wife's reaction as she unknowingly unboxed her new Lady D-Joy bag from the brand's Winter Garden or Jardin d'Hiver collection.
To surprise his wife, Ogie pretended the brand sent it to Regine as a gift.
"Sosyal namang ng Dior," he said while Regine began opening her gift.
Regine was stunned when she felt that it was a bag.
She turned to Ogie and asked, "It's a bag! Did you give me this?"
Ogie downplayed the surprise and answered, "No."
Regine replied, "Are you sure?"
The ASAP Natin 'To singer continued her unboxing and saw that it was the bag she has been wanting to get for herself.
Touched by her husband's gesture, she said, "It's the bag that I like. You bought!"
She then gave her husband a hug and a kiss to show her appreciation.
Towards the end of the video, Ogie showed his son Nate excitedly opening his gifts: a tank and jet model kits.
"I was looking for this!" Nate said in the video before Ogie finished recording.
In the caption, Ogie penned a touching message for his wife and revealed why he picked the bag as his Christmas gift.
He wrote (published as is), "Nakita ko si misis na sumisilip sa isang tindahan at gandang ganda sya sa isang item na alam ko hindi niya bibilhin kasi nagpipigil na sya bumili ng mga bag.
"I saw the glow in her eyes as she was admiring the beauty of the bag and so i surprised her on Christmas day.
"I really love seeing my wife getting excited over anything much more a surprise present. You deserve much more my love and Merry Christmas. @reginevalcasid."
As for Nate's gifts, Ogie said, "Nate opened his tank and jet models which I used to assemble when I was his age, and wanted to impart to him the joy of having modeling as a hobby."
For Ogie, however, his wife's and son's precious reactions are definitely more important than the pricey gifts he gave them.
He ended his post by saying, "Pardon me for sharing this video but I just wanted to share the joy in the faces of my wife and my dear son. Have a blessed day everyone."
