MNL Fashion Week 2026 concluded in spectacular fashion as bold colors, vibrant patterns, and inventive designs took over the runway.
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the four-day fashion event founded by celebrity stylist John Lozano staged its culminating presentations at the SMX Convention Center Aura in SM Aura, Taguig City, drawing celebrities, fashion personalities, content creators, and industry insiders eager to witness the grand finale.
Leading the final day were HA.MÜ, the label founded by designers Abraham Guardian and Mamuro Oki, and Proudrace by Rik Rasos.
Both brands brought unique creative visions to the runway, showcasing the diversity and evolving identity of contemporary Filipino fashion.
HA.MU'S HA?HA.MU!
HA.MU opened with HA?HA.MU!, a collection celebrating the brand's 10th anniversary while reflecting on the journey that shaped its identity.
Built around the question “How did we become who we are today?” the collection invited audiences to revisit the people, choices, and experiences that have shaped the label over the past decade.
In a statement, the designers said: “It's easy to celebrate milestones by looking at the visible achievements, but we became more interested in everything that happened behind them.
"The people who believed in us before anyone else did, the creative risks that didn't always make sense, the difficult seasons, and the countless small decisions that quietly shaped the brand.”
The collection unfolded in three acts, each representing a different chapter of the label's story.
Explaining the concept, the designers said: "The runway unfolds in three acts. Act I looks back at our beginnings and the environment that nurtured our creativity.
"Act II explores commitment. Choosing an unconventional path, embracing experimentation, and staying true to our vision despite trends.
"Finally, Act III, titled ‘I Do, Do I?,’ serves as the emotional climax of the collection."
The final act centered on commitment.
“Rather than focusing solely on marriage, it reimagines the phrase as a promise to yourself. Your creativity, your community, and the life you've intentionally built.”
The designers further elaborated: “The final act, ‘I Do! Do I?’, reimagines commitment not only as something shared with another person, but as a promise to yourself, your creativity, and the community that helped shape you.
"In many ways, the collection isn't just about HA.MÜ. It's about how all of us become who we are."
The emotional tone of the presentation evolved alongside the collection's narrative.
“I think the energy is other worldly, emotional, playful, and eventually quite romantic which feels very HA.MÜ.
"The show starts from our more experimental and weird beginnings, moves into the energy of choosing to keep going and building our own path, and eventually arrives at something more evolved and intentional.
“There's a lot of contrast throughout the show. You'll see pieces that are very playful and almost absurd beside looks that are more structured, emotional, and refined. We wanted the show to feel like going through HA.MÜ's brain and memories."
Content creator Mimiyuuuh served as the show's muse, closing the presentation in a dramatic bridal ensemble.
Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the show, Mimiyuuuh expressed admiration for the designers and their continued growth over the years.
She said: "Alam mo, I'm really a fan of HA.MU and I'm so proud na ka-batch ko talaga sila sa CSB.
"And what I like about every collection of HA.MU is that I can see how they continue to evolve as an artist and as a designer.
"And to be honest, I am so proud to be part of the evolution of HA.MU.
"You know naman HA.MU, known talaga siya with the color, textures, but it just keeps getting better and better every year. So, I'm so excited for the future of HA.MU."
Ralph de Leon was among the celebrities spotted by PEP.ph on the front row during the HA.MU show.
Asked what he loved most about the brand's latest collection, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate said he was drawn to the show's overall concept and visual presentation.
He shared: "Ang galing kasi kita-kita from the aura, from the set design of the, the whole show na medyo parang earthly siya, very ano, very nature yung atake.
"Pero nung lumabas sila, na-surprise din ako on how nice really the clothes were, on how kahit iba-iba yung mga cuts niya, yung iba-iba yung mga colors, everything really just went well together."
PROUDRACE'S GRAND FINALE
Rik Rasos of Proudrace brought MNL Fashion Week 2026 to a close with a collection centered on draping, proportion, and reconstruction, pushing the label into couture-inspired construction techniques that are new to the studio.
In a press statement, the designer traced the collection's roots to his long-standing fascination with construction and transformation.
“My fascination with garment construction started long before I understood fashion.
"As a child, I would deconstruct and rebuild objects — fabric, paper, even clay — driven by curiosity about how things are made and transformed. That instinct for experimentation still anchors my practice.”
Rasos explained how everyday observations inspired his designs.
“For this collection, I focused on extending the life of garments through draping, proportion, and reconstruction.
"I was drawn to how fabric naturally falls—curtain folds, incidental drapes, and everyday movement.
"These observations shaped fluid yet sculptural silhouettes. By combining unexpected prints, proportions, and familiar garments, we created pieces that challenge conventional dressing while remaining wearable.”
He further explained how the collection reimagines existing pieces.
“This collection is deeply rooted in my interest in experimenting with existing garments and adding extensions to it for extra draping or manipulating its proportions so it can be worn differently than how it is supposed to be worn.
"Odd pairings of prints and silhouettes are also the driving force of this collection.”
Asked to describe the mood of the presentation, Rasos said: “This season you can expect a crazy, sexy, chic with a bit of sense of humor in our presentation.”
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee opened Proudrace's runway presentation in a sharply tailored black blazer dress.
The structured, single-breasted piece featured a mini-length silhouette layered over a crisp white dress, with elongated cuffs extending dramatically beyond the blazer sleeves.
Completing the look was a long, flowing cream scarf wrapped around her neck, adding a soft contrast to the collection's bold and architectural styling.
Celebrities and fashion personalities also turned out for Proudrace's latest presentation, with many praising Rik Rasos's bold approach to reconstruction, draping, and unexpected combinations of prints and silhouettes.
Among those in attendance was photographer BJ Pascual: "As an OG Proudrace collaborator, I'm so proud of Rik. The collection was amazing.
"It was cool. It was fun. And I think it's a perfect combination to end MNL Fashion Week. Always love supporting Filipino talent."
Celebrity hairstylist Mark Anthony Rosales also commended the collection's contrasting styles and textures.
Mark shared: "Well, I like it that it's a mix of prints and at the same time... may minimalist and flowy. So very, very extreme siya, ganyan."
Meanwhile, Miss Grand International All Stars contestant Keylyn Trajano was impressed by the designer's inventive take on familiar materials.
Keylyn said: "I love the collection because it's very out of the box. It's literally like, I think, retaso, of a lot of the Filipino textiles that you can see at home, but made into something fashionable and runway-ready."
