This year’s highly anticipated Red Charity Gala (RCG) has once again gathered the country’s finest personalities at The Manila Peninsula in Makati City for a night of fashion, creativity, and generosity in support of a worthy cause.
FEATURED DESIGNER: JC Buendia
The glamorous evening showcased 44 beautiful creations by this year’s featured designer, JC Buendia, inspired by the beauty and poetry of Asian silhouettes—fluid, effortless, and designed to move with the woman who wears them.
But beyond the clothes, the collection carried something deeply personal for Buendia, with all looks dedicated to his mother—the woman whose presence, grace and memory continue to inspire him.
He lost his mother, Dra. Corazon Buendia, in March 2026.
Over the years, Red Charity Gala has featured the works of renowned local fashion designers including Dennis Lustico, Furne One, Michael Cinco, Cary Santiago, Ezra Santos, Jojie Lloren, Lesley Mobo, Chito Vijandre, Joey Samson, Rajo Laurel, Ivarluski Aseron, Lulu Tan-Gan, and Rhett Eala.
Apart from Buendia’s enchanting show, the night also held the annual auction, hosted by Tim Yap and Tessa Prieto—co-founder of RCG alongside Kaye Tinga—which managed to raise a total of PHP5.5 million to benefit various initiatives under The Philippine Red Cross, Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation, and Hope for Lupus Foundation.
The items for auction ranged from art works by Katrina Cuenca, Doktor Karayom, Bridget Co, Moumen Aldaker, Art Rojas; home furnishings from Crate & Barrel, Genteelhome, Maison de Rivoli, Uratex; intricate jewelry pieces by DIAGOLD and Jewelmer; Philippine Airlines and Emirates flights and luxurious stays at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Grafik Pinehouse Baguio, The Bellevue Manila, Bellevue Resort, Quest Plus Hotel and Mimosa Golf Course, and Peninsula Manila, Beijing, Chicago and Istanbul.
