The candidates of Miss Universe 2016 have been busy with the pre-pageant events leading to the grand coronation night on January 30, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
On Saturday, January 14, 16 ladies were brought to a sponsored event by Solar Entertainment at Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa in Boracay, Aklan.
Clad in their Yamamay swimsuits, the ladies got to experience the beach's powdery sand, and also learned how to weave bags using indigenous materials with the locals.
On Sunday, January 15, 19 candidates got to explore the streets of Vigan in Ilocos Sur.
They also had a close encounter with exotic animals at the Baluarte Zoo, and participated in a Terno fashion show along Calle Crisologo and Plaza Burgos.
Some candidates had a photo shoot in Binondo, Manila.

Early today, January 16, ten candidates were selected for another photo shoot in Manila.
At the same time, Miss Kazakhstan Darina Kulsitova, Miss Kenya Mary Esther Were, Miss Aruba Charlene Leslie, Miss Kosovo Camilla Barraza, Miss Puerto Rico Brenda Jimenez, Miss Panama Keity Drennan, Miss Austria Djana Dzinic, Miss Sri Lanka Jayathi De Silva, Miss Bolivia Antonella Moscatelli, and Miss Malta Martha Fenech had a brief tour of Intramuros.
Among the places they visited were Fort Santiago's centuries-old arch, Rajah Sulayman theater, and Rizal Shrine.
Filipino pageant fans flocked the venue to catch a glimpse of the beauty queens.
