Miss Vietnam 2018 H'Hen Nie paid us honor when she donned a custom dress that fused the design elements of our traditional terno with Vietnam's traditional dress, Ao dai.

H'Hen Nie wrote in her caption, "This is a special dress for me, it's mixed between the traditional costume of Vietnam "Aodai" and Philippines "Terno" [heart emoji] designed by Aodai Kinzu (Song Toan) I love this [double heart emoji]

"It's time to say goodbye, Thank you so much Philippines, I will never forget your love and warm welcome, I love all of you [heart emoji] [PH flag emoji]"

An Ao dai is a fitted, full-length dress traditionally worn with loose-fitting trousers.

It is still worn in modern Vietnam, especially during festivals and special occasions.

The Miss Universe 2018 Top 5 finisher visited our country over the weekend.

During her stay, H'Hen Nie also wore other traditional Philippine dresses.

She especially loved the the traje de mestiza or mestiza dress.

This particular dress is often dubbed as the "Maria Clara."

H'Hen Nie said, "OMG I love this dress, this is the traditional costume of the North of Phillipines, the Filipino Hispanic dress, and it’s gorgeous right? How do I look with it?"
