Gretchen Ho was introduced to feminine wash back when she was still an active vollyball athlete.
What started out of curiosity eventually became a staple in her personal care routine.
Gretchen, who played for Ateneo Lady Eagles and Petron Blaze Spikers, told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): “When I was playing volleyball. I guess…because lagi kaming out and about, intense workout, so, I learned about body washes and learned about feminine wash, and I guess through my teammates …
“So parang na-curious tayo, and we've been using it ever since.”
GRETCHEN HO ON FEMININE CARE
With the growing number of feminine hygiene products on store shelves, Filipinos have indeed become more receptive to making them part of their personal care routine.
Gretchen agreed: “Yes. There was a time when that topic could not even be openly discussed with your friends, di ba.
“But now, we know that with ordinary soap, there's a tendency for dryness and irritation.
“For this one, it keeps it on a balanced pH level, which is required at a certain level of moisture down there to make sure that you feel fresh all day long.
“Para hindi mo na iniisip. Wala nang little annoyances as you go throughout a busy work day."
The host underscored that personal hygiene requires a tailored approach—there’s no single product that suits everyone, as each body area and skin type has unique needs.
“The different parts of the body, they cannot really be treated the same way.
"Example, there’s a cleanser specific for the face because it is different from the rest of the body.
“That’s also how it is for the feminine hygiene. There are new technologies that are there for us, like yung bagong LactoBiome+ formula, it's an improved formula.
“So I only knew of Lactacyd as a feminine wash, but to get down to the detail and understand the science behind it, mas madali siyang gamitin and, it’s better to invest in it.”

In September, the brand launched its new logo, which now features a distinctive “milk drop” as its visual element.
Its products contain the upgraded signature formula, the LACTOBIOME+™, which was further explained by Emma Valette, country head of Opella Philippines, which distributes Lactacyd.
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal):

“And the second effect, it really helps address everything on hydration. And the pH is also neutral for the skin.

LACTACYD’S NEW PRODUCTS
With the launch of its new logo comes an exciting addition to the brand’s product line-up: the Lactacyd Body Wash.
The Healthy Bright variant contains Actipone, a blend of botanical extracts known for their skin-brightening and smoothing properties.
“It brightens skin in as early as seven days,” said Brand Manager Jamie Superable-Martin.
The formula is also enriched with Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 that helps boost hydration and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
Meanwhile, the Ever Fresh variant combines seven herbal extracts—lime, thyme, rosemary, vetiver, neem, aloe vera, and sage—to help neutralize odor and keep the skin feeling fresh for up to 24 hours.
This launch held a special meaning for Superable-Martin, who proudly considers herself a Lactacyd baby.
“From baby bath to feminine wash to body wash, women of all ages—babies, young ladies, and mothers—can enjoy a daily drop of confidence from our Lactacyd products,” she said.
Valette threw in, “The packaging of Lactacyd is made from recycled and recyclable plastic,” which means, it is "good for the planet."
